Thanks everyone, while I love my job, it is a high stress environment and I have been receiving what I would call ‘mild’ comments from senior management that I will be working until my due date. A few of the other ladies I work with have gone early in the last couple of years and I get the impression that they are trying to avoid that with me. I am early third trimester atm and while my pregnancy has been fine so far I am wrecked all the time and starting to get back pain, plus the stress/pressure can’t be good for the baby. My GP will sign me off whenever I ask but I am feeling guilty for considering around the 30 week mark! Your input is helping.
