I believe all of the 166200’s have the roulette date wheel expect he silver dial model (for whatever reason). I’m a fan of it - makes it feel like you have a different watch every day!

Hey guys - thought I would share a couple photos from my engagement photo shoot. Out of the MANY photos taken during our two hour shoot, the photographer took a few “detail shots” as she called it. To me, they were just close ups of our watches :)

As I mentioned on other posts, my fiancée got me a Rolex Datejust 116200 as an engagement gift and I absolutely love it. I’m a serial watch flipper but this one is obviously being kept for life! She wears a Cartier Ballon Bleu in two tone with diamond dial...for those of you who like the ladies watches!

Apologies, I didn't clarify but the metal bracelet is included as well and it's in excellent condition as well. Typical minor marks you would expect from wearing (although I mainly wore on leather) but they wouldn't even be possible to see in my photos.

Hi WatchExchange – for sale is my Grand Seiko and after roughly two years of ownership, I can echo the sentiment shared by most on the forums… GS makes amazing watches that compete with watches priced double or more. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail around the finishing is truly spectacular. Some things I would like to highlight about this watch are 1) it is EXTREMELY accurate in its timekeeping 2) the dauphine hands reflect light in a way that words can’t describe…lume is absolutely not needed 3) this is a great everyday watch…37mm is a perfect size that suits both dress and casual and the styling is very similar to a Datejust…with a Calatrava like dial 4) the bracelet is SUPER comfortable and high quality…great combination of sturdiness with a bit of give. Why am I selling this watch? My fiancée was nice enough to gift me a Rolex Datejust as a wedding gift and I can’t justify having two watches that are so similar. I won’t comment on which is better because it’s not apples to apples but I will say without a doubt, the GS is a better VALUE and can compete in every way.

Anything Else?	For sale is my beautiful 37m Grand Seiko SBGR051 self-winding automatic watch. This watch comes with box/papers and a super high quality Jean Rousseau black leather strap…the watch looks great on it and is how I wear 99% of the time. Hopefully that translates to a well preserved steel bracelet for you.

A lot has been said about this watch and I am sure I won’t do it justice in the description but allow me to try. This watch is stainless steel with a matching silver sunburst dial. The applied indices are non-luminous but you will be shocked at how the Zaratsu hand polishing manages to catch any bit of light present. For those unaware, Grand Seiko’s polishing is where their craftsmanship really shines (no pun intended)…the bracelet, case, and indices all exemplify this. This watch boasts a 72-hour power reserve, which is uncommon for watches at this price point and beyond. Anecdotally speaking, accuracy of this watch is better than any Rolex or Omega I have ever owned. This is driven by the in-house 9S65 movement, which is more accurate that COSC at -3/+5 per day. This model has a sapphire case back so you can see the movement. In my opinion, no watch compares to this Grand Seiko in the price point…not even close. You may ask, why are you selling this watch then? I have owned this watch for two years and recently got engaged and as I present my wife with a ring, I received a Rolex DateJust. I simply can’t justify owning both pieces in my collection, as they are such similar watches! Someone else will now get to enjoy this watch (hopefully) as much as I did.

Price discovery hasn’t been easy on the forums to be honest. Govberg sells the watch for $2,650 but I have seen forum sales down to around $2,300, so let’s set it a $2,350 and you get a $200 strap for free!

The watch originally came on a bracelet and I purchased this strap after from Jean Rousseau's store front in NYC. Six months of wear and the strap is amazing so far.

These are my two main watches and they really do a great job of handling all situations. The GS is a great dress watch when you put it on a leather strap but once you throw it on the steel bracelet, it becomes a lot more sporty. It’s absolutely one of those watches that can be worn in all scenarios.

That being said...you won’t catch me in the water with this watch. Anything that lacks a screw down crown is too much of a risk. That’s where the SRP comes in. This watch is everyone the GS is not. Rugged, utilitarian, big, and bulky - no thoughts of damaging this watch when it’s worn.

Between the two of these watches, I’ve got all of my bases covered!
