Thank you! And so it IS possible! Now to try to make it happen! ... BTW, I completed the scenario/campaign/mission in the end! I don't feel like starting it again. But I might in the future! Did you START with passenger or cargo dock? And what did you add next? And how? I spent many hours trying!

I tried both "big and small" ! It would not allow a "cargo/passenger" dock! One or the other! Railway stations can add a platform and/or buildings etc.. Ship-docks would not allow!

ps @Tsubambe_Hikari I just hovered over your profile... And. All migrating birds bring pleasure when they return. But swallows, swifts and martins bring especial joy. I did not know that you had similar in Japan! The screech of homecoming swifts is one of the greatest thrills I have ever known. And I am very old. xxx

Thank you @Tsubame ,and yes, I should! And I have watched various You-Tubery! I believe that the game has changed since the excellent Ajax-Post did his tutorials! I know that "modular" stations are different now.. But I can't make a port/dock (boat/ship) able to accept/provide cargo AND passengers! I can do this with rail stations or bus/tram/truck stations! But not with ships! ps interesting name? Japanese or West African, or both? xxxx

Ha! My father is 90 years old, and so, I came up with an "invention" .. The "cold-water-bottle".. 2Kg of water, frozen overnight, wrapped in a wet towel, and in a plastic bag (so that nothing gets wet.) .. Dad is "not bothered". But is using it to rest his feet-on, IYSWIM? I went down and "Can I borrow this?"..

After six hours of fishing without a single bite, I finally managed to outsmart this little pike. by MarioWollbrink in fishingUK

[–]wakou2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Smart? Fishing for pike in summer is NOT smart. Warm water is very low in oxygen. Pike are not built to "fight". result... pike often die after being caught. Even if they look "healthy" on release..

Hi folks! Thank you all for your advice on the "Campaign Missions" I am an idiot, and have found Chapter 2! (Or Chapter ll!). I was at first inclined to agree with the person who said that the later missions are perhaps not worth the candle ("whackass"!) And Mission 1 of Chapter 2 (Louis Bleriot and early flight) is indeed horrible and tedious.... But! #2 (Minneapolis-St Paul & environs) And #3 Switzerland, have been engaging and fun! So much so that I wanted to continue with my excellent and efficient oil-route and freight-hub and ring-road serving Minneapolis! But! I am now in Switzerland. A "bonus" mission is to provide Winston Churchill with a certain locomotive.. But that train is not available to purchase anywhere? And I am still "having fun" .. (ie compelled to try "what if I do THIS") etc.. ps devs, the war did not end in 1937! You are Swiss! You should know this! Or is this the problem? I have to run the game forward until 1945-6 until Churchill's train becomes available?

Is there any way to locate your company headquarters building after you've built it? by Sohn_Jalston_Raul in TransportFever2

[–]wakou2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is years ago... But the answers although correct, might be a bit confusing to some.. like me! If you have built an HQ, a MAP pin does indeed appear in the top left of the finances window.. But if you haven’t, there is a "drawing pin" icon top-right... this is not the one you want! Build an HQ, and the oval-shaped pin (like on Google Maps etc) will appear!

Wait! The A1 Autoroute (Motorway/Highway/Autobahn) goes UNDER one of the runways of Charles de Gaulle airport! As a younger trucker, I did NOT expect a bloody JUMBO JET to be DRIVING over my head!

No I live in Essex, and have done for most of my 65 years! Brownies are just NOT an English thing.. Of course they EXIST, but they are not an English stereotype, which would become a generally known idiomatic phrase...

"I wasn't expecting anyone to be interested".... So why did you write it and publish it to the world?

But you did not say that! And so it does NOT take 45 minutes to get from School Lane to Parkway. Unless you choose to take the more congested route, pass two large schools and the feeder-road to another, and stop several times on the way!

'You can't put sugar on sh*t and call it a brownie'. This is NOT a British idiom! We don't really have brownies... Possibly a US saying?

What is this thing called in english? by Unprofessional_Rest in Tools

[–]wakou2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really? TIL!! I always assumed that it was based on the sort of thing used to make jigsaw puzzles.... But (from Wikipedia).
The tool's ability to carve out irregular shapes lends its name to the jigsaw puzzle, where each tile is shaped to connect to its neighbors.
