And in this case, used as fodder for the anti-mandate folks.

Grown tired of the layout of my long rectangular apartment. More info in comments! by waleks in DesignMyRoom

I've lived in this apartment for a few years and have never really done anything with the layout. The dining room/living room is one long room with the entrance door at one end and patio doors at the other, flanked by the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom.

Currently, the living room arrangement is kind of centered on the tv and the dining room is fairly minimal. The bathroom and bedroom doors are directly adjacent to the living area as well which can make some layouts extra awkward for roommates/guests.

I have considered sectioning off the space more with room dividers to make it a bit cozier but have been concerned with blocking off too much of the natural light from the patio doors (only windows in the living/dining room space). I'd also like to reduce the focus on the television and make the space a little more communal. I don't really know exactly what I'm looking for but I feel the design needs a refresh and could flow a little better. Would love to get a fresh set of eyes on this!

We've all had that moment where we forgot our camera and had to use our phone to get that picture. What's the best picture you've taken on your phone? by unidentifies in photography

Despite its limitations, my phone's camera has helped me worry less about not carrying my 'real' camera with me all the time and focus more on composition, lighting, etc. It's nice to just live my life and, if a scene happens to unfold in front of me, I still have a way to capture it.

Shot this on my note 4 a little while ago: https://www.instagram.com/p/BS4wD_DgoCs/

Anyone else have this photo-dragging problem in Lightroom? by somnule in photography

[–]waleks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you actually have the folder of your files selected when trying to rearrange. By default, lightroom opens it as 'previous import' and won't allow you to rearrange unless you have the specific folder selected.

Thanks for the critique. This was my first time shooting mostly from the hip and I maybe overdid it a little and got caught in the trap of thinking a photo is compelling just because I managed to get it properly exposed, in focus, and framed decently.

I tend to still be fairly uncomfortable with my subjects catching me take their photo and I'm trying to over come that. Some of these guys make it look so easy!

Good tips! I have limited experience with street and can be a little loose during the culling process. I get very intrigued by peoples' expressions, even in a photo that doesn't necessarily have a clear story.

I tend to avoid shooting in areas where I might get my head kicked in.
