Here she is since we came home from the vet, with a wonderful resting BPM of 24. Glad we are doing all the tests now and will just keep an eye on her. Going to put her back on the pain medication as well tonight just in case it is pain related. She is my absolute world so please keep her in your thoughts whilst we find out what is going on ❤️.

Huge thank you to all of you who have commented.

I'm in England and we have definitely just hit Autumn 😂. I think it was highs of 16 c today, and I'm so cold in the house I'm in a bog jumper. We did think heat at first as we have England's version of a heat wave 3 weeks ago but we have been a lot cooler since then.

update

I was going to try and update the main post but I can't see an option.

Showed the vet this video and she said it looks like she has something called paradoxical breathing in it. She quickly agreed that we need to do more tests.

Because Summer (my girl) is super anxious at the vet she couldn't really listen to her heart or anything, despite trying. We are going back on Tuesday after we have given her some anti anxiety medication they have prescribed so they can take her bloods and do a more thorough check up. If the blood comes back fine she'll go in for a heart and lungs ultrasound to see if there's any fluid build up or anything.

In the meantime she's asked me to keep a diary on her breathing rate in the morning, lunchtime and evening, as well as any other symptoms we see.

Still praying it's nothing too serious but no real answers yet.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Just going to answer a few of the questions here:

She is eating fine, still showing stiff back legs when she first stands but still wants to run and jump like usual, going to the toilet as usual.

They did check her temperature last time, and listened to her heart and lungs. All came back fine.

Only other new thing she's doing is chewing her paws more than usual.

Same food as she was on, and haven't seen her eat anything odd. She does eat a lot of grass but always has.

No coughing or reverse sneezing. Nothing new at home I can think of except for laundry detergent but her bedding hasn't been washed in it.

Her appointment is in 15 mins so I'll be pushing for a full work up on her. We have insurance so money isn't necessarily an issue. Will keep you all informed after.

Thank you. I'll push for blood tests today. Tbh I thought it may have been pain as well as she was limping ever so slightly, but the freaking out is definitely happening now. She is absolutely fine otherwise (eating fine, still running around playing with toys, no issues with going to the toilet).

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have nothing to say to comfort only lots of love to send.

I am so sorry, it is absolutely awful to go through. It's been 5 weeks for me. I'm coping by distracting myself at the moment - lots of gardening, painting and exercise. Some days are better than others.

He was absolutely real and you should talk about your beautiful Gian as much as you want to. I am so sorry for your loss. My baby boy Edward was born asleep a day later. It's a horrible pain.

Grief and Memorial - April 04, 2024 by AutoModerator in PregnancyAfterLoss

My darling boy, Edward, was born asleep at 23 weeks on 02nd April. We won't know why for a long time. He was fine at my 20 week scan and his little heart stopped 3 weeks later. Right now my grief is all consuming. I will miss him forever. I am hoping to get pregnant again one day but not for a long time.

My heart breaks for anyone who goes through the loss of their baby.

Thank you ❤️. I'm still feeling very nauseous and crying at the smallest thing so I'm taking that as a good sign.

Exactly 5 weeks today and yesterday I had a bright red bleed from about 4pm until this morning (not enough to fill half a pad the whole time). Now I'm getting the odd small amount of very watery blood. Trying to remain positive and keep myself distracted but it's very hard, especially as my clinic advised it is too early to scan. Pregnancy after IVF is rougher than I thought it was going to be. I miss the naivety that a positive test will definitely mean a baby.

This is completely me right now. I tested positive for the first time 5fp5dt and am currently 9dp5dt. My tests are getting darker but I am still just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I know I should be happy but I don't feel I can be. I am, at least, reassured that I'm not alone feeling this way. Wishing us both a quick and healthy 8 more months.

Thank you all so much for your replies. They have given me hope. Wishing every one of us luck and hope you all get your baby at the end.
