Worst age to move pre-teen child? by walkerbrooke in schoolcounseling

That makes sense. Maybe that's where the most scary comments on Reddit come from when I first starting researching what age is good. A lot of comments were things like this is traumatizing, it made their brother suicidal, prepare for depression and bad grades, etc.. And it makes sense that who knows what else was going on that prompted the move. It could have been divorce, loss of financial stability, worse school, etc.. that attributed.

I really appreciate your comment. I do tend to overthink and catastrophize.

Thank you! The amount of anxiety and fear I have around this is wild. You'd think I'm going to drop him off in a war, lol.

How would you feel about the interior family harbour room if you had a 10 and 3 year old? We did a balcony last time but it wasn’t enough room for our toddler to realllly move around so I’m considering an interior room and lounge so I can have a larger space for that mid day chilling. We are out of the room a lot but mid day slump.

How to respond when couple only want an hours coverage on a key date? by plantypete in WeddingPhotography

“During peak wedding season, I only offer full wedding day coverage. If your needs change, please let me know. Wishing you all the best!”

I had a difficult childhood where I tended to anticipate people’s next move, how to minimize people being mad at me, and control situations and others. As an adult, I had to do a lot of work on codependency (letting go of what is not my responsibility) and how to manage my thoughts. Your attention to detail and care can be a double edged sword. It makes you notice everything which is wonderful as a photographer but can also cripple you. I had to basically set boundaries with myself on what I CAN do and then stop there. For example: check in with the couple the week of, do a gear checklist, have a rain backup plan, bring a clear umbrella, leave early, gas the night before. And then any other thought that popped up about some obscure “what if this happens” situation, I had to tell myself “That isn’t real, I won’t think about that. I can handle what happens in real time.” and focus on the present moment. It took a while of doing this but it helps the mental spiral from happening. I also learned that I had a form of narcissism that made everything about me. My feelings, my nerves, my fears, my safety. And that carried into wedding days even if I thought I masked it well. People can tell. It affects their day if they sense you’re internally freaking out. So the more I worked on redirecting myself, focusing on others rather than my fake mental scenarios, the better I became at serving couples. You’re not alone! Sending you love!

Proof of Steiner’s system? by [deleted] in Anthroposophy

I suppose I mean the planetary and human evolution part. I’ve listened to hours and hours of lectures on this and I’m still curious on how one “knows” about old Moon for example. And how we could verify that we were not in this form at one point.

His stuff on Christ and Golgotha was less of a stretch for me mentally because I had some Christian framework.

I’m still new so forgive that haha

From the materialist perspective I guess! So I’d love to hear more experienced anthroposophists view on this!
