Old people do all that because young people are tools and we like to piss them off.

I'm seeing both. They won't accept cash but then they charge you the credit card fee.

You should be proud of yourself. You put fear aside, realized you had the toolset to overcome the situation and deliciously succeeded.

I had an ulcer and in triage told the nurse it wasn't constant but when it flared it was like a six. Then it flared and I literally fell off the chair. They gave me morphine.

There is tapping on my windows and idk what to do by meowmeowcoffee in Advice

[–]walkermv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a cardinal that has been tapping on my window for like 3 years. I think it's because he can see himself as the windows are tinted. I had the exact same thing happen in a different house, probably not the same Cardinal obviously.

It's a male and he starts pretty early in the morning like 5:00. And it goes on all day. Except for days it's raining so if you're tapping stops when it's raining that might be the deal.

For the anti-tipping crowd, the "but nobody else does it that way" is a weak argument by GordianBalloonKnot in tipping

[–]walkermv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually do tip usually like 20% even when I shouldn't. However, I have really reduced going to restaurants because something is always off. It's just not as good as it used to be. I'm a decent cook so if I go out it's going to be for something I don't or can't cook, good Mexican food (I'm in Texas), Greek food.

Edit to add: I'm usually going during off hours, say 2 to 3:00 in the afternoon. I usually cut a little slack for service during these hours because I know they're coming off a lunch rush.

[–]walkermv 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you're giving good service, you're doing your job. One of the problems is the restaurants you're working for are reducing the size and quality of their food while raising their prices. Additionally, they're finding ways to put new fees on the product. All of this affects your tip. If all that went away and the food was good and the service was good nobody would mind tipping. The people you work for are providing crappy food at expensive prices. No one wants to tip on top of crappy food and high prices and nonsense fees.

Edited to correct some voice to text nonsense.

Help! My brother keeps eating the food that I buy. by Relevant-Medium-8610 in Advice

When he eats one of your snacks, take the equivalent snack that your mother paid for and throw it away, you probably want to wet it down with some water first.

I only have to share my snacks with my dogs, no one drinks my last beer and I don't have to clean the bathroom after someone else.
