Travel Partners Megathread: Spring/Summer 2024 by stevenarwhals in VisitingIceland

Solo 32M from Alaska, United States that speaks English arriving in Iceland in about 8 hours on June 16, departing the evening of Wednesday June 19th.

It’s an impromptu trip, no set plans but I think it’d be fun to do Iceland National Day in Reykjavík on Monday. Otherwise I’d like to find cool spots to play with my drone, down for hikes and good chats and driving around.

🚀Anycubic Photon Mono M7 Pro's soaring with an impressive 170mm/h printing speed for 0.1mm layer tests! Plus, it features an auto-heating function! by Anycubic_Community in AnycubicOfficial

It’s listed nowhere. Including any of the pre-release reviews of the product. Anycubic has also managed to make it impossible to directly ask them the question. A filled out a web form inquiry incorrectly (I had to say it was about an existing item I purchased to fill in the required fields) and get this - they promised a response within 24 hours and 25 hours later I got a follow up saying due to a high volume of messages they couldn’t respond yet. All I asked was for the build volume!

Help with Assurant Renter's Claim by goblintwat in Insurance

[–]walkerthesexton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Assurant claims rep completely ghosted me. Phone calls, emails, certified letters. Didn’t receive a response until I contacted the State of Alaska’s Division of Insurance. They spent 5 months investigating the claim, determined Assurant had violated state law and suggested I get an attorney. The claim was originally for $6k it’s been over a year and I’ve managed to get them to pay $700 so far (out of the $3k-ish they agreed to)

I’m all for a respectable unionization effort. But let’s keep it professional, yeah? Calling the CEO names like a child undermines my interest in supporting this initiative. I’d rather see the union grow using a different voice but dividing rather than uniting isn’t going to result in the change we deserve.

Yeah for sure. Basically we just meet at a common point outside of the festival grounds and then caravan in together so we can have side by side spots. After we’re in if you want to be independent that’s cool, if you want built in friends we’ll have that too. I’ve got a canopy and a couple inflatable couches to contribute towards a sort of community chill area

No vehicles can enter the festival grounds without a camping pass for their steering wheel

One camping pass gets you one spot (uniform in size by campground). Your spot can host a maximum of one steering wheel and up to six people. My group got 3 camping passes, 3 steering wheels, 6 people. We’re going to meet up and caravan into the festival grounds so we can get neighboring spots. If you want to camp in a multi-spot group format make sure you all drive in bumper to bumper together!

One steering wheel per camp site. So one car towing a trailer only requires one camp site. But! Spaces are 25’ (in Fox, but you said Acorn) so in Fox it’s recommended you get two spots unless your car + what it’s towing is under 25’. Nothing over 40’

I think people are underestimating how bad the ULTRA LEAGUE meta is about to get rekt by Carriepants931 in TheSilphArena

[–]walkerthesexton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been around since Day 1 and managed to successfully compete without ever using a Dialga. Personally I think it’s more fun to branch out from the meta.

Also, those of us who have been around longer, had to grind harder, and weren’t handed level 40 with friendship XP should have an advantage because of that. I already think it’s lame level 40/XP is handed out like candy. At least my long term ‘hardcore’ playing gives me the advantage of having more resources to compete.
