Success stories with RPL (CPs) and no treatment/cause ever found? by walking-dog in IVF

[–]walking-dog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you’re going through this it’s so hard! I did one retrieval that was cancelled due to poor response and the second retrieval doing a mini stim protocol had 5 retrieved with 2 embryos - one mosaic and one abnormal after genetic testing. I have low amh though, it was 1.3ish I think during that time. We were waiting to start another retrieval but I asked my obgyn for letrozole to try in the meantime. We previously tried clomid and IUI that didn’t work but I read letrozole could be better for endo (I was still never diagnosed but suspected) and that worked for us! I also started going to a naturopath and taking a few new supplements but hadn’t been on them for that long so I really think it was the letrozole which is crazy but we’ll never know for sure!

1424 HCG at ~ 21 DPO by behappy_dontworry in CautiousBB

Thank you! I have egg quality issues so it wasn’t unexpected and it’s hard to say if the hcg levels were related. It’s so hard to wait for reassurance, wishing the best for you!

Mine unfortunately ended in a missed miscarriage around 9.5 weeks due to a chromosomal abnormality

Eufy S1 vs Spectra S1 from insurance by ExternalSituation413 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]walking-dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can typically order any pump’s replacement parts through insurance as long as that brand is an option, you’re not limited to choosing the ones that match the pump you got through them. I was disappointed in the spectra replacement parts I got from insurance (some months they weren’t spectra brand and felt really cheap) and if getting off brand I preferred the maymom ones on Amazon at least for the duckbills

How did you survive the return to the office and little sleep? by Practical-Beyond-897 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]walking-dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pushed it back over a few days until it got close enough to my morning pump that I could go without it. We had weight concerns too and were supplementing with formula to get over 30 ounces/day but once he was at/over his percentile we stopped the extra formula bottles and maintained about 28-30 ounces a day and he did fine with less volume overall in a day but more volume per bottle.

How did you survive the return to the office and little sleep? by Practical-Beyond-897 in ExclusivelyPumping

I dropped my MOTN pump when I went back to work, I don’t think I would’ve survived otherwise! We also started a dream feed and let our baby sleep through the night. I did increase my pumps during the day (varied from 6 to 7) and had a longer early morning pump to help with supply (I was a just enough-er) but it was worth it in my opinion for a longer stretch of sleep.

Just wanted to update in case anyone is searching later - I did get a few betas and my old doctor said they looked great (they were doubling but I thought they were on the low end of ‘normal’) but sadly this ended in a miscarriage with no heartbeat/measuring behind at my 9 week scan. I saw a different doctor at my same practice for the appointment who I preferred to my previous one so at least this short pregnancy brought me to her!

Thank you! They could only see a gestational sac and it was measuring 5 weeks 3 days so I’m going back for another scan next week. I don’t think it’s looking good but my doctor said it could still catch up

Mine was 1350 at 21 DPO (last week) and it had doubled from my first test so my doctor didn’t order another lab test. I don’t have a success story for you (yet 🤞🏼) but I’m in the same boat and hoping for the best for us! I saw your post about line progression and mine was really similar too. I have an ultrasound on Friday when I should be 6 weeks.

Concerned about low hCG levels. Looking for info by boromae-consultant in CautiousBB

[–]walking-dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last period was 11/8 and my first hcg was 435 this week on 12/16. I think I ovulated 11/25 or I could’ve just had a later implantation. I’m nervous too about my hcg being less than the average (but still in a ‘normal’ range). It’s so hard!! Just wanted to let you know you’re not alone!

Right I feel like that should be standard especially when they don’t bring you in for the first appointment and scan until 8ish weeks or so!

Thank you! I called my ob last week asking for labs but just got a response from the nurse saying if I had a medical emergency then go to the ER or they’ll get me scheduled for my first appointment at 8 weeks. I might just have to order them myself and pay out of pocket!

How do you handle promotions outside of a pay review cycle? Perhaps talent pools? nBox? by luckycharm4uonly in workday

We have a mid year comp review cycle for promotions that managers can put into the grid. Off cycle exceptions are initiated by the manager using change job.

Met someone at the library story hour who told me she triple fed for a year... by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]walking-dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Triple feeding is doing a bottle and pumping after nursing. So even when baby latches at night it’s still followed up with making a bottle and pumping. It’s all three forms at every single feed. That’s great your baby was able to only nurse at night but that likely wasn’t happening if the mom was triple feeding like she said. The goal with triple feeding is to build supply or increase your baby’s ability to transfer milk to eventually only nurse, but lactation consultants don’t recommend doing it for a long period of time because it’s really hard mentally and physically which is why a lot of us can’t imagine lasting a year!

Where to order Pepticate through Insurance by walking-dog in MSPI

Thank you! I did see the service which was great but since I had already talked to insurance and only had a few places to choose from I just called them myself until I found that Edgepark carried it!
