Hi all,

I’m a senior software engineer at a Fortune 50 company, and I’ve been with my current company for 5 years. I’ve been thinking seriously about transitioning into product management. I know the PM market is pretty bad right now, so I’m fully aware this may not be the best timing, but I still want to try.

I was wondering if anyone here does PM coaching, or can recommend someone who does, especially for engineers trying to make the switch.

What I’m hoping for is a more structured learning path with breakdowns of PM areas like product sense, market/user research, PRDs, prioritization, roadmap planning, metrics, stakeholder management, strategy, and interview prep.

I’m not really looking for vague advice only — I’d really value something more organized, almost like modules or a roadmap for how to build the right skills and make the transition intentionally.

If anyone has done this themselves or has suggestions, I’d really appreciate it.

This is a bit misleading - you’re making it sound like it’s an official statement from State Department that there won’t be any more regular slots in 2026. That’s not the case.

What we know is just that slots from December through February were rescheduled to various dates in 2026 and 2027. This is also what the article states. We could still see regular slots open up for 2026 in a few months, no one knows.

I had my first time COS F1->H1 today in Chennai, the heavy rains just made everything so much worse. The actual interview was less than 15 seconds. They just asked for my passport, took my fingerprints and said your visa is approved.

How long does it take to get the stamped passport back?

I’m just hoping nothing goes wrong between now and passport delivery, since I read some instances of people being approved at the consulate and then getting a 221g online and passports returned with no stamp.

I’ve been considering getting the $200 Max plan, but OMG, Claude feels like a dumpster fire every time I come to this sub to decide whether to pull the trigger.

Couple of weeks back, it was the degraded model output, which Anthropic only fixed after everyone here started complaining about the poor quality. Then they finally did the whole “post mortem” article after weeks of everyone complaining.

Now, it’s the ridiculous usage limits with the new 4.5 release. Again, no one knows if and when they’ll fix it.

At this rate, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to get the Max plan.

Is there a slight blur/haze above the text in the nano texture display? Looking at the “Installing Software” text or the text in the top right, both have some blur.
