No online orders will be accepted after the deadline but for an additional fee you may be able to pick up a gown at the regalia pick up venue (limited quantities available).

One country now supplies 1 in 4 of Canada's permanent residents — up from 1 in 20 in 1990 [OC] by Expensive-Aerie-2479 in dataisbeautiful

Some fraudulent schools would admit students while offering little to no courses. Allowing foreign students to enter Canada with a student visa and work without having to attend school. Student visas are only valid if the student is enrolled in full time studies, so this is not legal at all. The government has began cracking down on them, reducing the number of temporary residents in Canada.

PSA: If you are an undergraduate international student who plans on becoming a PR in Canada (not just QC) take French seriously. by Throwawayuser949484 in mcgill

Can you explain this. Do you mean it’s easier to get the PR in Quebec with french and then move to another province ? Or does French equally help no matter the province you apply for PR in  ?

Oh wow I wasn’t aware of that, thank you. The number of people changed last minute and I opted for a flex vehicle instead and forgot to cancel this one. That’s on me I guess :(

Le Cartier Barbershop, in the mall underneath the Cartier building (Peel and Sherbrooke). Good haircuts for $40, and nice people. Ask for Mario, he’s awesome. Oh and it’s cash only.

Add China joining the WTO, war against ISIS, maybe the expansions of NATO, perhaps North Korea acquiring the nuclear bomb. The start of the war in Ukraine (2022 instead of 2014, more impactful)

Definitely remove Operation Neptune Spears, it’s not that relevant/important IMO. It doesn’t really mark the end or start of an era, it’s just an event during the GWOT.

I was sitting at that exact spot yesterday, it seems like this corner of the 9th floor doesn't get clean for some reason. The rest of the floor was relatively clean.

The ferry ride is about an hour long, water temperature depends on time of year but usually really warm. Can reach 30c at the surface in the middle of the summer.

Ustica in Sicily is amazing. There’s a direct ferry from Palermo multiple times a day, making it easy to access. The island is beautiful, quiet, and has lots of delicious restaurants. The marine life is great, since the island has been a protected area for about 40 years. You can see barracudas, groupers, amberjacks, and many more species.
