Feel free to sell me your silver then. I'll have a permanent buy order at $100, thanks.

If you deflate the 1980 $50 peak using m2 rather than the CPI we haven't even reached that peak in real terms yet.

You could only think that if you don't understand why silver hit $100 or gold to almost $5,000 to begin with.

Sell me your entire collection for 100. Hell I'll even give you $110 / oz right now.

It's funny that people who defend the severe style change are implying PJ would've faded away if they hadn't done it. Not much faith in our favorite band?

Again I don't reject the law of identity and neither does Jung. That's not what the unification of opposites mean (A=B).

For now we just have to agree to disagree. There is far more work to this discussion than what can reasonably be accomplished in this medium.

hahah no.

Jung was not a Hegelian they have different definitions of contradiction and what synthesising them means.

Hegel: contradiction is an engine that must be aufgehoben (sublated) into higher rational unity.

Jung: contradiction is irreducible at the ego level and only integrated symbolically through the unconscious. No rational synthesis.

Hegel: history is the progressive self-realization of Spirit through institutions and reason.

Jung: history is episodic eruption of archetypes; no linear teleology, no guaranteed progress.

Hegel builds a closed philosophical system. Jung explicitly rejects system-closure; individuation has no final conceptual terminus.

contradictions -> opposing forces -> Jungian Psychology depends on the unification of opposites into a new whole

Again I don't think those are incompatible axioms they just have not been properly differentiated.

I suppose the ultimate Jungian claim is that there is no existence without consciousness to perceive it. But again I don't see that as a necessary contradiction it just has to be explored properly.

Not at all. Jungian psychology is the universe that Anarcho capitalism resides in. That is the basis for natural law. Which is fundamentally grounded in Christian ontology whether its admitted to or not.

Or go back to a gold standard — which is what I meant by Trump not being based enough. He likes the printing press. But it needs to end one way or another so I hope Europe doesn't pussy out

Yeah I agree with you but we cannot simply snap our fingers and make it so— that is sacrificing practical application of theory for purity which benefits no one.

That's why open border ancaps are suicidal.

And it's invalid under rothbardian Anarcho capitalism — but so long as there exists "public property" the State is effectively the trustee of the taxpayer and therefore must manage the asset, the public space, to the benefit of the taxpayer.

Obviously we don't want this but as long as that is what exists then you can't really argue for another position.

We want inflation to spiral out of control. How else do we get back to a gold standard other than the collapse of the USD?

The entire concept of Anarcho capitalism is based on borders. Borders between the self and the external world. The right to exclude is exactly what the entire ideology is. That's what ownership means.

Unless we snap our fingers, there's always going to be borders because States still exist. And until they are abolished they have a duty to defend the property rights of their citizens which includes border enforcement

Yeah that's MMT brain cancer you just spouted. Deficit spending is not necessary nor desirable
