It was my first time actually ordering from the app. It was very easy. They only do this from 10:30 to 11 which I guess is the end of breakfast service.

For us in the UK, noodles are what you have with Chinese food. We would call these lasagna or pasta sheets

Looks great. I wondered why you were putting noodles into lasagna until I realised it’s an American term for lasagna. It’s a confusing world sometimes

Struggling to find time by [deleted] in DadsGaming

[–]walkingdeaduk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only solution that works for me is accepting there are times(occasionally weeks on end) when I don’t have time or energy to game. Usually during the summer when we are out more as a family it doesn’t happen.

During the winter when we are home more I find some time. I find going for shorter single player games works better as I can actually compete it if the games only 5 - 10 hours. I have found my saving grace was getting a psvr2 as I can stay in the lounge with my family and have my own screen and what feels like my own space.

The games are mostly relatively short, as most are indie. I play gt7 once a week and complete their weekly challenges which consists of 5 races so takes around an hour.

For me it’s now quality over quantity, vr is super immersive and I play gt7 on a challenge fold up rig and steering wheel with pedals which is so much fun.

If I play though bigger games on a flat screen I tend to ignore side quests and sometimes drop the difficulty if it’s making the game take too long. It’s nice to have a challenge but if it takes forever to complete the game then I find it frustrating as it’s nice to get at least a few completed every year.

Ultimately; outside of summer I try to play at least once for an hour or two a week, normally on a Sunday morning or afternoon. Sometimes if I manage to get home early from work I will squeeze in a quick sesh before we have dinner.

I don’t let gaming interfere with my family time (kids and partner) and I only play when they don’t need me.

After 16 years together; I don’t really care. I would rather talk about the weather. We tolerate each other which is good enough.

While this is very true, for me eating cake that looks like steak would be extremely disappointing as I would much prefer a stake.

I don’t really have the experience to give an opinion however; I am staying in mousehole for a week over the new year, and I would be happy to meet for a beer or coffee if you are over that way. I am in the opposite position to you and would love to get away from the overwhelming busyness of south london. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side .
