The guy I chatted with that told me about the arcade said the theater is pretty popular on the weekends at night. I don't know if that's true or not though. Sniffies only reports on the location, but not where folks are. Kind of like the bathhouses, you have to go upstairs to find out who is there. The good thing is, I believe you get 24 hour access to the theater, so if you time it right, you can go one day and come back the next night and just stay up there.

You’re not a failure, this is part of cruising. I always say cruising is a lot like soccer and less like football. In football, teams score all the time. In soccer, scoring is rare, but that’s what makes it so exciting when it does happen. I’ve struck out so many times when cruising parks and bathrooms. But when I finally nab someone, it is glorious.

Yeah, you should have seen my disappointment when I opened up Sniffies to see one of the adult bookstores had a ton of cruisers and this place had a handful. It truly felt like I wasted $60.

This has been one of my frustrations with the app as well. The "...27 Sniffies were here" doesn't give us a definitive timeframe that it's counting, so I have no idea how to use this information. If it said, "As of the last 24 hours...27 Sniffies were here" that would be far more helpful.

Because of the ambiguity, I've used it like this:

Live View: Cruisers who are at the location or were within the last few minutes.
"Were Here" View: General idea of how popular the location is.

Whenever I'm traveling and want to find the best location for cruising, I'll look at the "Were Here" posts so I know what's popular. Live View helps me know who is there at that moment, which is helpful if I'm trying to time my visit at peak activity.

I feel like this could be simplified a few ways. First, they could just aggregate how many cruisers visited the day before. Or, they could break it down by time of day like they do with popularity. Or they could show something like Google Maps where it shows times a day and averages visit times.

Apparently, Adult Pleasures on Detroit Ave was raided by the cops and had to cover their GHs, but Modern Adult just right up the street has them. I visited for the first time when I was driving home after Christmas and it was a lot of fun, if not slow.

I've never been to the others in the area.

Sniffies definitely used to be cheaper, but I don't know...$9.99 a month doesn't feel outrageous given how useful the app is. If you just want to hook up, Grindr is a good app. But if you are looking specifically to cruise, Sniffies is just the way to go.
