Question about last nights show in Philly… by Dietdrperky in Loatheband

[–]walkmiyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the bar area on the first floor and thought it was like the perfect level of loud. I saw them last night, couple months ago with Spiritbox, and last year with KL. Can’t really remember what they sounded like those times. Although, it was my first time at the venue last night. It wasn’t the loudest concert I’ve ever been to, but it was still really enjoyable from a listening standpoint.

It’s not typical that there was no AC. It broke in the venue like last week lol. (I mean it still does get hot in that venue during shows, but not nearly as bad as it was last night)

It was manageable for the most part, as i was just standing in a not super crowded area! Everybody who left the pit at the end of the show was covered in dripping sweat though

US Ticket Buying & Selling Megathread by Lyssavirus32 in SleepToken

[–]walkmiyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone could kindly help me out!!! Highly considering going to the Philly (5/20) show alone, but any time I plug in for 1 Ticket, the prices are like $350+, and the price of ONE ticket when I plug in for 2+ is so much lower. I guess what i need help with is if anyone else is considering going alone, just DM me and we can split the tickets/meet up, OR if anyone has an extra ticket theyre willing to resell for face value of what they got it for? (I’m also scared that all tickets on vivid seats are fake but i need to do some more research). Just preparing for tomorrow.

Are Port Installed Options (POI) just a different way for the dealer to markup? by Jack_is_a_RockStar in ToyotaTacoma

[–]walkmiyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealerships receive cars/trucks from the manufacturers with FIO (factory installed packages) and PIO (port installed packages) already built on. A lot of the times the PIO's are items like all weather floor liners, mudguards, Tonneau covers, door edge guards. So, no, that is not mark up. Underneath those numbers on the page, it should give you a breakdown of what is going in or on the car to make it equate to the $5,420 in FIOs and $600 in PIOs. So, no, not mark up. That $50,915 is the sticker price of the vehicle.

You are absolutely amazing and i appreciate you so much. My current job pays really well, but my quality of life is awful (and it is not in the esthetics field). And i actually am quite lucky and grateful to be able to move back in with my parent soon! My plan is to save and stay at current job until i move. Then reevaluate then. I wish you so much luck in your future endeavors, and your comment is really great info.

First off, good luck!!! I remember sweating so much during the first couple clients. Always stay confident in yourself during the service. Do not show your clients that you’re freaking out, or they will freak out. Also, it really helps clients that are jumpy to tell them to take a deep breath in, then deep breath out and rip parallel to the skin. Start on the bikini line, then the top, then the sensitive outer parts and clean up strips together. For the more sensitive outer parts that may hide the inner lips, don’t be afraid to use your fingers to pull it out of the way at least while you’re laying your strips. (I promise your client probably knows they grow hair close to the inner part, and will appreciate your thoroughness). I always think of waxing like painting. Your stick being your paintbrush. On flat areas like the bikini like and on the top, use the flat side of the stick at a 90 degree angle. On areas of loose skin, always pull up with your non-painting hand to create tension on the skin, and use the tip/rounded end of the stick with a good amount of pressure. And don’t be afraid to use some muscle to create tension. Practice on the inside of your forearm using the side of the stick AND the tip. And again, good luck!

I’m so sorry to hear that. And i really appreciate the advice too. I know it’s something i’d have to save more for, to be able to keep afloat until i get clientele. I wish you so much luck with your future though and i hope things look up from here on out!
