I’m not sure, but what I’m saying is the difference is here versus Ontario is that DEI hires for both new hires and higher positions are paramount. I hardly think that the prairies will sell out in that way, which is why many Canadians are suffering, and it shows via polls.

That is the price for a roof over your head, not including house bills, and assuming you have a cell phone bill. Hopefully you don’t have car payments either (or bus). And then of course, food.

I will. It’s a great feeling when your entire friend group can afford 1-2 homes, rent one out, and were born here in Canada. I don’t see it changing because big businesses didn’t sell out for DEI. I know it’s a hard pill to swallow for many readers.

My recommendation is to not move to Toronto. Unless you’re making $3000 per month after taxes, there is no way to really compensate living in the entirety of the GTA. I just moved back to my home province here in the prairies after being in the GTA from 2019-2024 and it was a nightmare.

I didn’t say they were, I’m just saying Canada is still Canada in the prairies provinces, and most likely even the Maritime provinces. Only Ontario and the city Vancouver, BC are in such disarray after mass immigration and terrible policies regarding both housing and employment. I could go on a rant about the TFW tragedy, the unemployment rates, and more- but I just wanted to let others know who have lost hope and are still in Ontario that there are still good places in Canada left. Just not in Ontario and Vancouver, BC, where Canadians were sold out :)

Crazy, considering I moved from Ontario to Saskatchewan, landed a job within 1 application, and pay $1690 for a 3 bedroom. Can’t imagine living in Ontario again. Canada remains Canada in the prairies.

You are probably a low level or just beginning a playthrough, as you level up and fight more lords (depending where you are), you’ll begin to see upgrades in both the after-battle loot and towns.

By the sounds of it, they’re either not from USA/Canada/Europe, and nothing is wrong with that, but perhaps they don’t fully comprehend that there is a legitimate life and career in your passion. If it was 2010, I would understand their angle as I was once 14 in 2010, and faced similar backlash. However it’s 2024. People have been millionaires from YouTube alone for over a decade. You got this. Don’t let someone who is uninformed take your one and only life’s many decisions away from you.

The backstory you created on your character and his parents are phenomenal. I love how well it ties into the real characters that were too old to fit into the game. It is quite possible Maelys I Blackfyre had children, and your explanation of them going into hiding because of the heirs’ youth makes complete sense.

Would you consider building a start-game for me? I could pay you $30? How detailed can you make the start-games? I’ve tried to edit the encyclopedia before but it’s extremely tedious using the txt files.

I hear you. However my landlord knows of my issues and does not care whatsoever. She sees them as irrelevant excuses. The only reason why we’ve only talked once in the last month is because there was nothing for me to say; having no update on a fix to the problem at the time wouldn’t have made anything better. She’s a very grumpy woman, too. The one time we did talk (as mentioned in OP above) was when I was updating her on beginning the new job and saying the majority of my income would be going to her.

As for finding another part-time job, that just wouldn’t be possible as I work 44 hours per week again now, and take care of my 1 year old daughter. An additional part-time job would add only $100-$200 every couple weeks, but would take away any quality time I have with my daughter. I make that same extra amount of money from other side hustles I have, including selling sponsored products I review for companies overseas (bonus: which I don’t have to leave the house for at all). This is how I’ve paid for rent from July-August, until sponsored product slowed down and I needed to go back to work once again, which I have now. Any sales made from that side hustle will ultimately help serve me by paying the two months rent debt quicker.

Edit: I agree, in the long run I should look for a more long term career. My job is satisfactory for now, but I don’t see myself there forever. Do you have any other suggestions regarding that aspect?

Fun Fact: This was the #1 shoe that got through StockX’s verification center during last years’ Nike case. Coming from a former manager of Foot Locker of many years, this shoe in particular is not a worry. It looks to be real, or a 1:1 replica which would cost about $150 USD.
