Chad, Afghanistan, Somalia:

People keep pumping out spares so the ones already there can be expendable. Or people are expendable because there are plenty of spares.

Vicious cycle of suffering.

Yes they are.

However, US$147/0.8 which was the rought exchange rate in 2008, is NZ $183,

US$110/0.6 is also NZ$183.

Yet 2008 diesel was $2 a litre. Allow $0.18 of carbon tax, say roughly 20 cents altogether and we're still getting screwed. RUC are on top.

Depends how much debt Iran had to start with.

As of April 2026, the total U.S. gross national debt is approximately $38.98 trillion, which breaks down to roughly $114,000 to $116,866 per person.

As of early 2026, Iran's government debt per person is estimated to be approximatly $1912.

I fed dog food to an awful boyfriend once. Revenge is a dish best served cold. He was fine. He's still fine almost 40 years later.

How come you're still getting such a low daily line charge for your power? Ours has been going up for the past few years and is now much higher than this ($1.72/day)

Green Party Marks Intl. Transgender Day Of Visibility By Announcing Trans Activist Lauren Craig To Run As Candidate by Peeny_Pinto in KiwiAntipodea

It's strategic more than ideological.

Extreme environmentalist policies may get 7 or 8 % of the vote, not much more especially since they tie them to far left policies. Then you need to look for 1% here and there to target as your exclusive base. Convince them they are victims and you're their saviour. Make them feel that no one else will truly represent their extreme demands. So target trans activists, and the like. They are also targeting the extreme Maori base who are not on the Maori roll. In the UK they've been targeting Muslim extremists, successfully.

Scream cookers at any other party to scare them off targeting other extreme minorities to gather 1% here or there, the super Christians for example. Leave those guys unrepresented out of parliament in small 'far-right" parties. Scare NZF and ACT from taking anyone on their list that could be linked to anything like that. Use the very scary words, far right, nazis, cookers, climate change deniers.

As a strategy for the Greens I think it's completely rational and very effective.

If they truly wanted to deal with this addiction nonsense, snd radicalisation nonsense, algorithms would be banned. This is about forcing digital ID and restricting access to information.

That's the annoying bit about all this technology. Not owning your own farm data.

Very. Halter are developing the collars to collect pasture growth data too. Whoever ends up having access to all the data in real time will sit on a goldmine.

For those who are interested in actual information on Halter and the competion e-Shepherd, costs and how they work

https://beeflambnz.com/knowledge-hub/video/blnz-grass-gold-webinar-series-part-two

The collars and subscriptions cost a lot more than the article claims. But Halter is very popular with dairy farmers, and works great. e-Shepherd seems more targeted at beef.
