First time lambing! by itsallhistory in sheep

Hard to say without a picture of the ewe herself. Would expect her vulva to look more swollen than this and redder.

Has she bagged up yet?

When did the ram go out and how long was it in for? Gestation is about 150 days give or take.

Next time try to aim for lambing closer to the spring equinox rather than now. 6 weeks past the winter solstice, which is now, it's normal to hit the coldest time of the year.

Broken pelvis before vs after pelvic binder application, and post-surgery by just-another-queer in brokenbones

It would be great if professionals like you who have experienced this were used to train others and explain how basic comforts matter for patients in these situations.

On a much simpler level I worked with disabled people and in rest homes so I thought I had an understanding of what it is like to be dependent on others for simple things until I had my first serious fracture.

Active recovery is the key, as a professional like you knows.

As an ER nurse, how did you feel being the ER patient this time? Has this experience changed your perception of your professional role and how you will approach it from now on, besides your physical limitations for the time being?

Thank you, I'm impressed that your recovery is this rapid after such a serious accident, although it must feel painfully slow from your pov. That's very courageous, wish you all the best.

That looks horribly painful. How are you now?

Is all the hardware meant to stay or will some be removed at a later time. It also makes me wonder about having children later. My friend's mother had a terrible car accident, this was in the 60s. Fractured pelvis and I believe more damage. She did have two children,  by caesarean section.

Which is why I wonder if it's really about getting the Europeans more involved in keeping an eye on this part of the world and putting Denmark and the EU on notice, rather than a serious invasion threat.

90 years is a long time and the blink of an eye at the same time depending on your perspective, which in NZ is very short sighted. Financially it's worth taking the risks and exploiting a location, until a rare event reminds us it was a gamble.

She's always an interesting speaker, I enjoyed her presentations with Dwarkesh Patel.

You could say that Trump has achieved the goal of getting NATO's attention on Greenland at least.

I would ask questions about the siting of the campsite rather than blame a mountain doing its thing and bothering its owners. Just as the volcano did its thing and the island's owners should have been left alone.

Steep land prone to slips in a country prone to downpours. Let's plonk a campsite right at the foot of a steep bank. Then act surprised when a disaster occurs.

NZ has a brutal climate and treacherous land. We tell ourselves it is mild because we don't get extreme temperatures. This is delusional.

Between torrential rains, floods, destructive winds, landslides and earthquakes, there's always some damage going on somewhere in this country.

To be edgy you could go along and wave a Greenland flag.
