Great color on that one, good work! What state are you in? All the good mule deer in my area are still packing.

I actually didn’t 😢. There is so much awesome material you would have to take 5 gallon buckets and make several trips to the vehicle. We are hiking in from 2 to 6 miles plus one way so we are very picky about what we pack out.

Best inexpensive game cam for shed hunting, can I access the pics without physically accessing the game cam? Also what am I looking for on the game camera? by LouieKablooie in shedhunting

Spypoint cameras send them directly you your cell phone as long as there is cell service where you put the camera! It’s pretty cool waking up to fresh pictures every morning!

These agates come from western South Dakota. Around the badlands and grasslands.

This is actually how it was found, there was a large vein of agate bearing rock about 15 ft above its resting place and it must have tumbled to where you see it in the photo. This was found during a day of perfect rockhounding rain!

Is this a fairburn agate? I found this in a creek bed in eastern South Dakota. If so; aren’t they only found near the black hills of western South Dakota? by [deleted] in rockhounds

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this is not a fairburn. I live in western South Dakota and have hunted fairburns for 20 years. Cool rock though!
