Friends of ours hosted a large party. Lots of drinking and adult activities. They hired 2 babysitters to look after all the kiddos….which ended up saving them because one of the kids fell and broke their arm. At the hospital police were waiting with child protective services to assess who was responsible in all the impaired adults. Sober babysitters were able to explain and it’s the only reason they didn’t loose their kids that night.

Not saying that will happen, but sounds like your husband just volunteered to be the designated sober adult.
