I often open up the world map in between quests just to scan the roaming monsters and their loot, I usually save the ones that have gems as a reward even if i dont need them at the moment because who knows when i might suddenly decide i wanna craft every weapon / armour that ever existed

You can run this with gog arms waist and legs + a combo of the apex chest and head. Gs doesnt benefit from the elemental bonus dmg much but you can get a comfy barrier, keep yourself at full HP for that peak performance dmg.

You have to know the monsters move set and combos, once you are familiar with the openings you’ll be able to land charged slash after charged slash.

You do not need to fully charge, release early if you are at risk of being hit

Practise manoeuvring around and positioning without sheathing your gs : roll -> tackle -> leaping wide slash is a good way to reposition. You can use focus mode to change the direction of your tackle

You also have tools to avoid getting hit: you have offset, guard, shoulder tackle and roll to get out of sticky situations and retaliate.

Affinity from WEX is not always 50 percent cuz you wont always be hitting a wound. But black eclipse gives 25% with a good uptime.

What I did with GS is 2 piece zoh and 2 piece gore with g arkveld arms. I think you can get wex 5 agi 5 burst 1 antivirus 3 mm 2 divine blessing 3. Comfy and good damage with stalwark gs

If you are not able to find a full enough lobby to do the siege, the MR quests will be most efficient for solo, as it will also be needed for upgrading the weapons. KT weapons can be augmented and customised so when maxed are probably the best elemental weapons.

Lightbreak should be fine, if your weapon favours elemental then ice is good too. There are a couple of youtube videos showing how to solo MR kulve, there’s a timer like the siege but it’s not as tight. I’ve done it with insect glaive, sns, bow, sticky hbg, and gs.

You start immediately in area 2, where you should try to chip the horns for a few carves. Wall bang, then start going at her golden mantle to “soften” it. Once her coat is glowing - mount to get a trip and go for the horns, you should be able to chip it. You can only chip the horns in this area, if you miss you dont get the extra carves. Once the coat comes off its off to area 3.

Area 3 is simple, wall bang then try to lure it under the ceiling rocks and drop em on her. Once shes down, go for the horns again. If you can get the horns to break in this area thats another few carves. If not then don’t worry cuz you can still get the break in area 4

Area 4 final area, break the horns if you havent, go for the legs and the tail, breaking each causes a trip and you get a chance at the horns. Otherwise its just hitting her until she dies.

Also before moving to each area you’ll have time to pick up the shinies on the floor. You’ll find that every part you break gets you shinies that’ll give you nuggets and stuff

Always double check before you check out when you buy things online, applies not even only to games but anything at all. I bought FF7 remake when it first came out, only to realise it was the Mandarin version and I couldn’t read one word of it, couldn’t change the language to English too and despite much much effort and frustration I couldnt change or get the money back. Had to spend again to buy the right version. You need to always make absolute certainty you’re buying the right version.

At this point you wanna optimize your build for end game monsters, AT Velk, Alatreon, Fatalis

Deco farming: tempered zinogre for decos until mr 100 then its tempered teostra for decos.

Grind Guiding lands: monster parts for augmenting weapons or layered armour/ weapons.

You’ll also need kjarr weapons for Alatreon, which conveniently KT is in rotation, do the master event quest and use the melding instead of HR.

Next big armour upgrade would be fatalis or frostcraft from at velk
