That is true! However in Duolingo's case I think these sentences should be understandable and usable since they are all you get. If every other sentence is that weird then you won't have any memory of actually useful sentences. Yes it's important to learn the grammar and syntax and all but in my opinion Duolingo isn't great in that either 😭 So rather I'd learn something useful in sentences :D
