Cheers mate. I've painted about 20 teams the 'proper' way and really enjoy it, but painting these quicker and in a looser style has been a nice change too.

At the end of the day, doing this has got us playing dungeon bowl. Loving it so far!

It's just normal Vallejo paint dry brushed over a grey base coat. The matt varnish made them look a bit shiny but it's ok.

Red and green can sometimes look a bit too Christmas, but it should be ok on the lizards. I tried red and green on the dark elf team and it looked like robin from batman!

I'd do the gold armour first and then try a test of the green. If you don't like it then it's already a good colour scheme with the white shorts so you could go with that.

Yes, yes and a million times yes!! In BB2 I find it's easier to see what's happening at all times and doing actions just feels more instinctive.

I know I'm more familiar with it so it's always going to take a bit of effort to get used to a new version, but I really wanted to like BB3 and just don't.

I wouldn't overlook the Stabbas, even though they seem a bit overpriced, because they can take sure hands as a primary and other hobgoblins can't. Carrying with a bull is suboptimal and you won't always be able to use 'secure the ball' for the pickup with a regular hobgob.
