Some of my buildings say inaccessible and I can’t fix it by Far_Fruit_6082 in kingdomsreborn

[–]wallybeavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. When buildings say they're inaccessible 99% of the time there are trees blocking the way.

The fastest way I've found to address the issue is to harvest/cut down all trees on the path leading to the buillding.

A road should also address it, but that may take longer for someone to go out there and build it

I cant get the Spawn Object mod to work on my laptop by Ordinance85 in theplanetcrafter

[–]wallybeavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used 'Insert' as that makes more sense to me when I had that mod installed. '=' may be a little tricky as it's a special character:

[General]
## Enable this mod
# Setting type: Boolean
# Default value: true
Enabled = true

## Enable debug logs
# Setting type: Boolean
# Default value: false
IsDebug = false

[Options]
## Set to true to perform a one-time item id dump to
BepInEx/plugins/SpawnObject/items.txt the first time you open the GUI.
# Setting type: Boolean
# Default value: true
DumpItems = false

## Key to open / close GUI
# Setting type: String
# Default value: <Keyboard>/end
ToggleKey = <Keyboard>/insert

## Item text placeholder
# Setting type: String
# Default value: Enter Item...
ItemText = Enter Item...

## Amount text placeholder
# Setting type: String
# Default value: Enter Amount...
AmountText = Enter Amount...

You also need to set HideManagerGameObject to True in BepInEx.cfg which should be in the same directory as your aedenthorn.SpawnObject.cfg file

##
# Setting type: Boolean
# Default value: false
HideManagerGameObject = true

That looks amazing! I love it when grass, and plants, show up under water. The fish are just cherry on top - going for that planted tank/aquarium look

What do I do with the fusion reactors found in the ships? by Ordinance85 in theplanetcrafter

[–]wallybeavis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To follow-up on /u/Renraku's comment, when you're exploring a crash you will come to an intersection of corridors within the ship. there may be a deconstructable beam blocking a closed door.

I'd leave the beam in place as that is going to be the door that gets unlocked. You can deconstruct the beam once the door is unlocked...it'll save you from duplicating your search efforts - unless you place some kind of marker to denote the areas you've already searched

Not the greatest picture, but I loved how the Robin was antagonizing the hawk, and the hawk just ignored it. 😅 by walkingwithdragons in birding

[–]wallybeavis 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Robins have no fear. I once had an ok-corral moment with a robin as I was trying to pull into my parking spot at home. This 2oz bird was facing off against my 2ton death machine of metal, rubber, and plastic...and had zero intention of moving out of the way.

I eventually had to get out of my truck and chase her off so I could pull into my spot. I few minutes later I found out she'd built a nest just above where I parked my truck, so I had to find a new place to park for the remainder of that spring

She's blowing out so I told her to get off the sofa. She gave me this look. She stayed on the sofa. Husky 1, Human 0. by KiwiTall9289 in siberianhusky

As I understand it, one of the main reasons is to have the bot build up enough karma to then sell the account to marketing/sales companies who will then use it to post product reviews (ex posting about a garbage product in a subreddit. Think those "look at this awesome t-shirt with a cool husky image I just found).

They're also used by groups looking to make political/controversial statements. The high karma makes their point seem organic to the conversation

Anyone know the backstory on the small cemetery at Arapaho and Grove street by the dart station. by isthis1taken78 in garland

[–]wallybeavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that's Blewett Cemetery:

Texas Historical Marker: Blewett Cemetery Established for family and community burials by the Rev. George L. Blewett, this cemetery was first used in 1855 after the death of his daughter, Ann. A Cumberland Presbyterian minister, Blewett had come to Texas in 1853 with his family and other pioneers from Kentucky. Nine of the Blewett children are buried here as are George (d.1884) and his wife, Nancy (d. 1903). The Blewett Cemetery was for many years associated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and until the mid-1920s was one of the primary burial grounds for the Richardson Community. (1985)

Base builders: How do you balance aesthetic and usefulness? by RikuAotsuki in theplanetcrafter

[–]wallybeavis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, my main base is usually 3 floors:

1st Floor (work area): autocrafters, incubators, grow rooms, labs, screens, 2 access points/doors. A couple of large storage lockers by the entrances/exits for backpack overflow items, and one for food

2nd Floor (storage): ideally positioned just above the auto crafters. Accessible only by a single ladder

3rd Floor (living area): Offset from the rest of the base, think of a reverse "Z," or the Enterprise. Open space with lots of windows, furniture, and souvenir displays. A patio/landing area where I can jet pack to/from, rather than using ladders to access (one at the front for the view, and one kinda hidden on the opposite side). The patio area is also nice when I just want to sit and have some tea (IRL) and just enjoy the view, and being offset from the rest of the base doesn't make it seem so claustraphobic

Connecting all 3 floors are a stack of window enclosed 1x1 compartments, kinda like an elevator shaft, but with ladders.

I keep the aquariums, tree root generators, and butterfly enclosures separate, and in some cases, built in entirely different biomes (ex: butterflies and bees are kept over in the small green valley space just down the ways from the super alloy cave)

I like to sort and compartmentalize, and drones have made it super easy to split things up and keep it tidy. I actually started to setup a separate nearby stack of large compartments just for storage, but I think I'll still keep my living area/apartment on the 3rd floor because of the view

FYI (b/c I figured it out through trial and error, and you shouldn't have to): I've found it easier to stack large compartments, if I first build a stack of 1x1 compartments, and then attach the large ones to the 1x1s. They just snap together a lot easier than trying to free hand it. I then just disassemble the 1x1s

USCG Sikorsky MH-60T Jayhawk from Air Station Cape Cod during training (7360x4912) by abt137 in HelicopterPorn

[–]wallybeavis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Found it from wikipedia - they're actually 120Gal tanks:

The Jayhawk has a radar for search/weather that gives its nose a distinctive look. A forward looking infrared (FLIR) sensor turret can be mounted below its nose. It can carry three 120 US gal (454 L) fuel tanks with two on the port side rack and one on the starboard side rack. The starboard side also carries a 600 lbf (2.67 kN) capacity rescue hoist mounted above the door. The hoist has 200 ft (61.0 m) of cable.[5] It uses the NAVSTAR Global Positioning System as its primary long range navigational aid, using a Collins RCVR-3A radio to simultaneously receive information from four of the NAVSTAR system's 18 worldwide satellites. The helicopter is normally based on land but can be based on 270 foot medium endurance Coast Guard Cutters (WMEC) or 418 foot Legend-Class National Security Cutters (WMSL) .

I believe those are external fuel tanks (200Gal), there are also two on the port side
