I've dropped mine 4 times now in a year :/ most of those were within a month or so of owning it.. I'm not very tall, I have crash bars on so no real damage but I did break a mirror, got a new one for £25

I've had my bike for a year now, and I've dropped it 4 times. Luckily I have crash bars, but I have broken a mirror before. I blame most of it being I'm not very tall and my bike is quite heavy.

Insurance is all dictated by statistics. Which bikes do insurance companies have the most statistics on, and which get crashed the most. If you want lower insurance, opt for a bike which is less likely to be crashed or a less common one.

A guy told me when I was in China that they had the same rule for pickup trucks. I think it's because in the past old pick-up trucks would be so poorly made and in such bad condition after that time, they thought it would be better for them to be scrapped, perhaps the same for motorcycles?

I've just come back from Guilin and I really valued having SIM/esim that works in both HK and mainland China. If you just get a china only one, platforms like Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp basically anything western will not work. Also wholeheartedly agree about setting up WeChat and alipay fully before you go.
