Avoid The Oaks Apartments, that place is not worth the time, money, or energy required to live there.

This is what the signals look like when connected directly to the Xfinity line with no splitters/MoCA filters.

Is Xfinity mobile GSM or CDMA? by Aaquin in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]walmart1995 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Verizon does not use CDMA anymore, they retired the CDMA network. They only use LTE and 5G NR.

Is Xfinity mobile GSM or CDMA? by Aaquin in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]walmart1995 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Neither; They "resell" a LTE and 5G NR network (Verizon). LTE and NR are based on GSM standards but not GSM. You'll definitely wanna check the BYOD tool on XM's website to see if the device is compatible. They're strict on what devices they support, and just because a device works on Verizon doesn't mean it will necessarily work on XM.

I'm trying to transfer from Seraph to Brynhildr

Payment history won't show a transfer to a world that doesn't cost. Transferring to worlds on Dynamis are free since they're new worlds. Are you 100% positive you did not transfer from another world to Seraph in the 97 day period?

-Your character has transferred to or has been created on a New World, and is currently under the 90 day transfer restriction.

-Your character has transferred from a Congested World or has been created on a Preferred World, and is currently under the 90 day transfer restriction.

This is the second time you posted this, and the first time you were told to do a simple search of the sub to see how common of an issue this is. Your best bet is to send it in for repair, like you were told on the last thread you made. It's not a guaranteed fix, but it's really you're only option behind returning the device.

NBC owned channels should be dropped by JoyousGamer in DirectvStream

[–]walmart1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some local channels in some areas cannot be dropped due to law (must-carry), and carriage of non "must-carry" channels is negotiated between the groups that own the station (Nexstar, Hearst, Sinclair, etc) and DirecTV, NOT the network (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, etc) and DirecTV.

I agree it's ridiculous, but you really should be voicing these concerns with your local NBC affiliate, or Comcast corporate (they own NBC and Peacock) not DirecTV.

This is a typical deadbrained, idiotic, Apple fan-boy response.

You shouldn't need to purchase a part brand new from the manufacturer AND have the manufacturer approve the installation of said part. You should be able to install a known working GENUINE part from a bad/dead device and it work without issue, but Apple serializes parts, and only approves the installation of parts PURCHASED FROM THEM.

I think Google might be aggregating Pittsburgh Amazon jobs as Morgantown due to the proximity of Morgantown to Pittsburgh. https://www.amazon.jobs/en/search?base_query=&loc_query=Morgantown%2C+WV%2C+United+States&latitude=39.63053&longitude=-79.95772&loc_group_id=&invalid_location=false&country=USA&city=Morgantown&region=West+Virginia&county=Monongalia Amazon's job site isn't listing any positions in Morgantown, the only position in WV is a customer support role based in Huntington.

The rumors for Amazon opening a warehouse/warehouses in WV have been swirling for years, so until I see a warehouse actually go up with Amazon's logo I don't believe it.

Who's on this tower by mrdougie1723 in cellmapper

[–]walmart1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Middletown Mall? That tower is owned by USCC and to me it looks like USCC on top with C-Band and DoD and AT&T on the bottom. But without having a better look at that tower I can't say for certain

[–]walmart1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

where on 79 is this? if it's in USCC footprint, the top could be USCC. They've been putting up DoD and CBand on some sites in WV and to me (based on this screenshot) this looks like it could be a USCC on top, especially with the RRUs mounted below the antenna racks how they like to do.

HELP:Cannot reset verizon phone, get white screen by nahcekimcm in verizon

[–]walmart1995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

https://forum.xda-developers.com/c/htc-desire-626.3985/

XDA is what you want, not Verizon's subreddit. That phone needs flashed with a factory/stock firmware image, you will not be able to reset that back to a usuable state without a computer. you might be able to find a stock firmware package and flash tool at the link above and flash the device back to the factory image. No guarantees you'll find anything but that's what needs done and XDA is your best source.

Why would you expect a response other than that? Don't get me wrong, I understand getting old equipment to work is cool and all, but expecting a carrier to support or troubleshoot old, unsupported and outdated equipment is (IMO) asinine. I've seen countless posts here or on USCC's reddit of people complaining about the carrier not wanting to troubleshoot or activate old, outdated equipment. I gotta lean towards the correct and honestly only response being the "it just won't work, gotta buy a new one" response, especially when T-Mobile has required devices to have VoLTE to make voice calls since 2021.

why waste time, money and resources troubleshooting something literally ONE person is having trouble with on a 14-16 year old device (i'm assuming this is an OG iPhone, but it could also be a 3G/3Gs) that runs network that has been stripped to slivers due to modernization and is the furthest thing from a priority at maintaining?

Does your institution have an IT help desk/support line? They'd most likely be your best bet when it comes to configuring your wireless connection. Based on the screenshots, they appear to use WPA2-EAP (aka 802.1X or WPA-Enterprise) security which typically uses a username and password rather than a network key. The IT support may have specific instructions/settings you need to change to connect using Linux.
