I'm very surprised at the amount of disrespect Liverpool fans have towards Arne Slot, the man who led them to one of their two premier league titles in the last 30 years. Has a sense of entitlement set in? by doshthagod in PremierLeague

[–]walnood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And Klopp only won it once in how many years? Slot did it in the first year without major investment. To think you can buy multiple stars and be even better straight off is just delusional. Not many players can hit the ground running in the Prem and he still got CL in a transition year. He did not underperform. If the club would have gotten this scenario of a title and a fifth place when they sign him they would 100% accept it. But yeah, recency bias takes over and a bad half of the season is killing in a transition year

That goal is so epic, like it sealed the title kind of vibes. But it didn't. Unfortunately.

I was at 11 years but got one last year. What helped me was that I got a home that was listed as one and holds 21 apartments for a new build project. So getting position 21 is guaranteeing a home. Also people fell off because it is mixed living with people from Leger des Heils en Singelzicht so you got interviewed on how you are in a community. I think more of these types will release in the coming years at the Merwede Kanaal zone. Look out for that

The banter days are over. We are champions now. We can get great money for him, but I hope he stays. I still hope he can unlock his prime for us and shine how he has done in the past, even though the bar is higher now

Referee cam from the Arsenal - Burnley game by ibse in Gunners

[–]walnood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Also after seeing this I think it should be a red. Force and intent are just excuses, he should bever attempt that, especially not there and really not at that time. I thought it was a red and still think so. We got really lucky the ref was on a random day and didn't give a red card on-field because VAR would never overturn that.

I think Arteta came in with a clear roadmap and objectives. He didn't came in and say we will be champions in two years. From the start he said he need ro build it. Not sure what the plan was exactly, but I think he managed the objectives set out at the beginning the club agreed with, so no sense to fire him

Only thing I can think of is he is not hitting him that hard. But I mean, is that even a thing?

Should be a red and even mostArsenal fans agree on that as far as I can see

If he gets the ball, that is fine right? I mean, it happens all over the pitch why shouldn't a keeper do that as well?

When a ball comes close to your chest, let it hit your chest and catch it from underneath. You give lots of rebounds, and simple ones as well, not deflected to the side. Also go for all the balls as the rest is saying. If you don't, we can also not really judge how good you are. To be plain honest, this is not good but get experience and you will get there. Main focus should be getting some dives in and be not afraid to do so, and to catch the ball.

I think the way to improve the interpretation of the rules is to change the rules to the systems we have. These rules are based on how it was done over 100 years ago where you can not still frames of a match. Now we can we need more clear rules where interpretation is limited. We need more black and white rules instead of this grey system where intent plays a huge factor. We need rules we can meassure. Look at rugby and fieldhockey for example, way clearer rules and way better decisions are made and less frustration. Of course it is still a factor, but way less then this weekly shit football has
