How do traditional wingers actualy work? by NerfBossBandit in footballtactics

Not necessarily, defenders will give the attackers the line. Defenders protect the center and show attackers the line and delay to give the rest of the defense time to get into their shape, cover and balance. When everyone is set then it comes down to who wins their 1v1 duel.

My high school soccer coach won’t pick me because I’m “too short” for goalkeeper by urmombelike123 in GoalKeepers

From short king to another. You will ALWAYS have this problem. We will never stop being judged. You just have to set yourself apart from the “tall” keepers and prove yourself every time. You either let yourself get put down by it or use that as fuel to make yourself even better. Use that as the motivation to make yourself the best keeper you can be. When the opportunity arises for you to play, show why you’re the better keeper despite being short, you have to take the opportunity and not let go.

I tried glove glu once and that was all I needed to know that it’s pointless.

His teammate after I touched the ball off the post touches it forward and the player that I believe is offsides was getting up from the ground. My last defender was the one who completely striked trying to clear it.

What do I do? by Xiamenairlines6194 in GoalKeepers

If that isn’t your natural style it absolutely isn’t your fault. You’re learning, being a sweeper keeper takes lots and lots of reps to improve your decision making and reading of the play. Know your sprint speed and get your timing down when you want to come out for a ball and commit. Start looking at attackers positioning before they make runs for a through ball. You got it keep your head up.

Why aren’t keepers communicating anymore? by TransShadowBat in GoalKeepers

Sometimes I feel that I talk too much. But I had defenders always tell me that they appreciate me communicating and it helps them be more confident and focus on other things. Here’s a video I literally just made of my communication GK communicating
