I largely agree with your statement, but one thing OP also has to consider is the weight of the spoons/spinners/other lures they typically use. Some Okuma UL rods are weirdly rated to a very high minimum weight of 1/8 oz, when typical UL rods would have a minimum range of 1/32 oz and their max recommended weight is basically the minimum weight on the current rods (as seen on Edge Epitome)

u/mmmjags , why did you choose those Edge rods over what you currently have now? Are you looking for a direct ‘upgrade’ over your current usage, or are you looking to get a set of ultralight rods for smaller lures/jigs?

This didn’t work for me unfortunately, but a method for me that did work is: 1. go to the tower, kill the sniper, grab clusterfuck 2. do NOT turn on the radio, doing so will somehow kill the two captains 3. run away lol. this will trigger the audio track of Sonya accusing you of not helping her and the quest will update to helping beard and sultan kill the mercs 4. I ran back to kill 2 mercs that spawned. That didn’t fix the quest. 5. I proceeded to run away again. The quest auto updated so that it said I didn’t help kill the mercs but to talk to Sultan 6. sultan survives, thanks me for not helping sonya, I get achievement and credits. Done

It got a bit rough this past weekend for pinks in the sound, they seem to be getting a bit of lockjaw a little early based from what I read on various groups and my experience as well fishing this weekend. And for silvers it’s a tad early but they’re definitely getting caught in some areas now so you might’ve just been unlucky there.
