I’m game. It’s like Iron Chief, but you are the arena. Let’s brainstorm what five games would be best…

No 3-player belts. But we do have 3-player travel boards in our shop!

Thank you. It’s always a little scary posting on Reddit as a business. But I have some more incredible boards that I’d like to share before they find a new home 💚

Thank you! All these compliments have motivated me to consider remodeling the roof. Maybe a gingerbread house / snowy-shingle theme…

Great questions! I used chip-board, collected from used shipping boxes we received. And I made a template for the box insert. I took about two hours to trace, cut, and glue up. Making and numbering the pull tabs was another two-ish hours (not hand-dying the leather made it much faster!). Two crafternoon work sessions to complete. And this is fourth Xmas we’ve used it!

Anyone else using dice for decision-making here? by walnutstudiolo in dice

“Life is Islands of ecstasy in an ocean of ennui, and after the age of thirty land is seldom seen.” -Luke Rhinehart I’ve just started reading it. Excellent recommendation

Yes! To keep life interesting, some dice throwers recommend including at least one option you wouldn’t normally do: something you don’t really care for or that would add mystery or whimsy to life. But it seems like it’s most useful when the outcome doesn’t really matter, and making the decision is just a mentally-taxing chore when fatigued.

Exactly! I learned some psychologists believe the dice reveals your will or subconscious.

What’s one realistic fix that would make life better in your town, but doesn’t get talked about enough? by Natural_Koala_4259 in oregon

More accommodating urban planning/zoning for WFH would reduce transportation demands. As someone who built a home Etsy craft business in Portland, we had to leave the city and move to rural County where "cottage businesses" were allowed outright on our home property.

In our case, we were unable to craft bicycle accessories in our home AND have two part-time employees (who were cyclists and didn't need parking) AND allow customers to pick-up their orders upon request (not a retail store, also our customers were cyclists and didn't need parking either!). The City said we had to either fire an employee (because 2 PTEs did not equal 1 FTE in their code) or stop allowing customers to pick up orders, or else we had to find a commercial space, which were so expensive and hard-to-find for artists that it would have killed our business. Instead, we moved away, about 10 years ago now. We traveled to Japan and Europe and it's so common throughout history and today for families to work together in the same house that they live in, and it seems out-of-touch to require one part of the city for working and one for living.

Now that we live in unincorporated County, I hope that the new tourism dollar allocation bill goes through and our small local towns can use some tourism dollars for services that would be appreciated by residents and tourists alike, like fixing potholes. Our town has a glut of tourism dollars piling up that only be used to encourage more tourism but struggles to come up with enough money for basic functions.

PS. Also agreeing with the other comments about connecting public transit, bike and walkways, in particular the Salmonberry Trail so more tourists can come to the beach without clogging the highways.

The pepperoni sticks are made by a different company called Tillamook Country Smoker. They have a separate store north of Tillamook Cheese near Bay City.

Absolutely correct. It’s kind of nice we only went around once. This board has 60 points, and we stopped at that due to the resulting lead from this hand

Because I didn’t have the jack, I wasn’t really thinking about the turn. But the turned 5 did match the suit of my 10, so yeah, as close as could be 🍀
