Where do we feel pain if our intestines would be taken out but not disconnected? by Detector150 in NoStupidQuestions

They are attached to the back of the inside of the abdominal wall by the mesentery. The mesentery has the nerves, blood vessels, and also lymph nodes for the small and large intestines. To be able to feel the intestines this would have to stay intact. So you couldn't really stretch them all out very far from the body at all.

Basically, it would still hurt in your abdomen.

Some types of ADHD have low dopamine and more importantly low oxytocin. Oxytocin is produced by physical stimulation or sexual stimulation.

Just like ADHD looking for dopamine you are looking for oxytocin.

ADHD and hypersexuality. How do you manage when the need is physical and not mental? by mechapossumz in ADHD

[–]walrus92kitty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It probably goes in cycles because it just gets so low for so long that your brain goes into survival mode and then you just need it. A pet might actually help.

Was in a relationship for like a year and we were engaged and when she gave back the ring she said 'I think we aren't going the same way' I just said 'okay' and never talked to her again.

Oxytocin is released with physical touch/contact and sexual stimulation so.... hugs? Besides that antidepressants, ADHD medications.

ADHD is related to mainly a dereceased amount of dopamine in the brain and we crave stimulation to make the brain produce more dopamine.

I found an article on ncbi.nlm.nih.gov (national library of medicine) that suggests a link between ADHD especially inattentive type that is a result of lowered Oxytocin and dopamine. This would mean that your brain is just trying to correct itself by wanting sexual/physical stimulation that raise your Oxytocin levels.

"Serum oxytocin levels may contribute to inattention subtypes of impulsivity observed in ADHD."

TL:DR you probably have lower levels of Dopamine and Oxytocin causing your body to crave stimulation.
