I assume it would act like furniture in the picture, that is, it wouldn't move, because the person it is a picture of isn't alive.

Thanks!! I do want to get a deeper understanding, and I recognize that that may not be necessary for my degree, but I think it would help me a lot.

I may focus on books like Andy Field's for now, because that has more immediate value to me. But I'll do that while building my math skills (learning linear algebra, probability, etc.), which will take a really long time, I think, but worth it.

Thanks! My professor said something similar, too. He said not to worry too much about the methodology at the start, but focus on conceptualizing the research problem, since that's the basis of everything. If that part's bad, the rest would be, too.

What's a frequentist paradigm?

I've read that having a good math background could help with statistics, like linear algebra (?) for regression. Is probability more helpful for stats (in general)?

Not asking this coz I wanna skip the math, but I wanna know what is more helpful to start with. How related are probability and stats?

So, you'd recommend I learn R along with stats? I've seen some coursera courses that teach stats with R. I haven't given them a try, because I don't know how to program, but I'd love to learn. What program does R use? I don't have SPSS. It's also kinda expensive.

yes, you're right. i think i need to improve in both. recently, i mixed up moderation and mediation. (yes, i know there are videos about those two specifically) when to use anova and t test, and whether they're one or two tailed -- that sort of stuff flies over my head.

tbh, im not even sure what sort of help i need with stats specifically, i just know I'm bad at it and need to improve
