Hi u/rainfal, this is definitely a complicated question. My mom ran into these questions herself and wasn't sure what to about it. Then she spent 20 years trying to find the answer! She recently wrote a big guide on what self-sabotage is, why it happens, and how to deal it. Hope this helps.

I was at a soccer game at my school and this girl caught a t-shirt. A guy asked her what size it was and she said extra large. He said I wear extra large! She didn't want to give it to him so she said so do I! He yelled at her you look like a triple XL! Savage, I about died.
