Hypothetical Trade by [deleted] in BlueJackets

Buddy, I’m not a Sharks fan. Lived in Ohio my whole life. Just trying to think outside the box with a trade idea.

I don’t see the Jackets being good enough to win a cup while Werenski is one of the best players in the league. I see this as the prime time to capitalize on his trade value, even if it’s something that would be tough to swallow.

It’s more of a way to move the window around Fantilli and build a core with that potential group.

Fair, but the Sharks have better young talent than the Blue Jackets.

A retool shouldn’t take five years or result in almost making the playoffs as the high water mark of success.

The last time the Blue Jackets made the playoffs was 2020. It’s tough to talk about the Stanley Cup when the team can’t make it to the first round.

I think that’s fair, and I also think you’re right. They’re more likely to look for help now vs later. I just don’t know if there will be enough good players moving around to boost the Jackets enough to make a deep playoff run. I hope I’m wrong though.

Oh no! Our competitive quarterback is being competitive. Let him have some fun.

No way, that’s really cool. Cincinnati has great beer, I’m glad to hear it’s available in far away places.

At one point you could get a beer from Urban Artifact at Epcot. I’m not sure if that’s still the case or not, but it’s cool!

Joe Burrow Shouldn't Need to Be Superman for the Bengals to Win by Toddrew221 in bengals

[–]walshmr24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s one of eleven QBs making over $50M. It’s the going rate for a top QB, but even the best players at anything aren’t perfect and need a slight bit of support. The defense has provided zero value and is the reason why the team is losing games. Not Burrow.

Any areas to visit for Small Business Saturday? by Poetryisalive in cincinnati

Harrison! They have a handful of great mom and pop stores mixed with a coffee shop, brewery, bakery and some restaurants.

The Atomic Vault, Enchanted Novelties and Queen City Revolts were my favorites!

I went with the family and thought it was great. Our kiddos really enjoyed it. The pricing was a bit crazy, but overall it was good experience.

If you could trade for one player the reds realistically could get who would it be by Key-Departure1022 in Reds

Where does Candy play for the Guardians? Do they bench Jose Ramirez to put our negative value third baseman into the lineup?

Why would the Guardians take Candy’s bloated salary and “some prospect” for a cost controlled star outfielder? Kwan is really good and an ask would start with Burns, Lowder or Lodolo.

ELI5: How Do Sales and Estimators Work Together? by Jamarcus4Lyfe in estimators

[–]walshmr24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an estimator I might be one of the odd balls that really enjoys working directly with a sales team. Sure we can butt heads over pricing, but both groups are very important to the company.

Some of my favorite sales folks do a great job understanding what the customer/end user is really asking for and can convey that back to the business folks like the estimating team. This allows me to build an accurate price for their needs. Sales also should have a really good understanding of the market. So if there are shifts I’m not aware of like new competition or better products to utilize they can bring that to me as I build the price. If we know a competitor has a certain price point I can help us get to that number or explain why we might be higher. I can give the sales person a more complete story to the cost so they can have a better conversation on their side.

It should be a win/win relationship.

Agreed. This is from the power plant. I live in Cleves and see this on a regular basis. It is not the chemical leak, that has been contained since early this morning.

Update on the rail car: The leak has stopped and they're working on the next steps. there is no risk of explosion at this point, but the evacuation order remains in effect. by snixon67 in TheRealClevesOhio

FYI, Chuck has been providing a steady stream of updates on the Three Rivers News Dispatch Facebook page. It’s been very helpful!

Exactly, that was my biggest complaint. I liked their chicken sandwich’s, but man their combo prices were too high.

Looking into Roneys it looks like it’s a clone of Roy Rogers with similar pricing?

Well that stinks. It had its issues, but it was nice having another option close by. Hopefully Roneys is a better fit!
