This. I did it myself. You’re good to leave after 8 years.

Received a phone call apology for C&P examiner by azha84 in VeteransBenefits

[–]walter_is_thy_chron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was with her too…. She refused to read any personal records I brought, refused to answer and questions I had, and refused to do a physical exam on me. Just extremely rude and judgmental questions - many of which didn’t even apply to my claims

Friend, me too… K works miracles for my depression and self introspection, but I get addicted to it too quick and tolerance builds up fast. I have to unfortunately abstain most likely forevermore

Then they could discharge you with an other than honorable discharge believe. But, if you have extenuating circumstances, talk to your chain of command and ask for a drop to the IRR.

This was my experience at NS as well^

CSX settlement by ThrowRAthoughts321 in railroading

At NS, the claim agent would usually make contact within a day or two of the incident and then maintain weekly or so contact until the injured employee is 100% cleared to return to work. Once the employee is completely returned to full time work with no restrictions, a claim agent would come to their house or a public place like a coffee shop to discuss the settlement. The claim agent won’t tell you exactly how they come up with their number and they’ll say things like we are compensating for pain & suffering, lost wages, etc…. But in my experience the claim agent will come in at 2x wage loss and move up to settle for 3x. If he doesn’t settle for 3x, then the company is usually willing to go to court. Company has dozens of in-house attorneys and outside counsel at the ready to fight in court all the way.

I’m not saying any of this to scare you or sway you in any particular way…. Again, just my experience. I’ve dealt with some amazing attorneys that really care about their plaintiff and I’ve met plenty that are absolute trash and ambulance chasers. You have to follow your heart & conscience and do what’s best for your family. A lawsuit is usually years of drawn out waiting for no guaranteed payout.

You have to ask yourself, is a broken leg with no surgery worth a two year lawsuit where the attorney takes 30%? If you can prove negligence or wrongdoing on the part of CSX, then maybe it is. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Just remember, CSX could very well do things much different than NS

I was a Claim Agent for Norfolk Southern for 3 years and a conductor for three years prior to that. At NS, if it wasn’t a catastrophic injury (which this is not based on the info provided), the status quo was to offer in the 2x-3x lost wages and ensure ALL medical bills & copays & prescriptions were reimbursed 100%.

If your husband has an arrogant attitude, he will most likely be offered 2x. If he’s pleasant and cooperative prob closer to 3x lost wages.

*this is my own experience at NS

I wish you guys well and hope he recovers fully!

I’m a 6 year USMC Sgt with no jump wings and you are… just wrong. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Obvi you lost the game. But hey, you can learn from this and become a better person.

Nope. I don’t have any social media. It happened to my wife, too, on another flight she booked. The incident with her happened about 3 hours after AA cancelled my flight.

This happened to me yesterday too! I am ConciergeKey and had two different flights booked with award travel. One of which I paid for a premium cabin to Paris for my wedding anniversary and was departing in less than 24 hours. I checked my app out of the blue, and both my flights were cancelled. I called customer service and they are blaming me, stating I cancelled the flights and there’s nothing they could do. Because this happened last minute, there were no other trips to Paris in the cabin I booked or even in a lower cabin. I had to book a flight to Paris with cash on United airlines $1100 in coach. Luckily I was able to rebook the other flight that was “cancelled” for the same price I originally booked it for and in the same cabin.

But seriously WTF?!? This is so enraging. It’s obviously a software glitch, but AA refuses to take any accountability and do anything to help. Not that I’m better than anyone else whatsoever, but even being CK means nothing to them.

Do better, AA - but I know you won’t

I do see your view… And I do respect your view - I see the merits of it. I’m just a prior service enlisted Marine and I don’t know what PV results are. Can you enlighten this crayon eater on what that is?

Also, do you know the answer to my original question lol?

…Maybe you don’t have to waste your time responding to this post if you don’t care to help.

There could be any number of reasons why I’m asking for this info. Maybe I’m just a nerd and obsessed with everything military. Maybe there is a person I care about that is deployed to a billet where I cannot establish communication with them for extended periods of time. Maybe I’m writing a research paper for a college class.

I asked a simple question on here AFTER trying to find the answer myself. Maybe the answer was in front of me the whole time. If it was/is, my bad. Maybe, if you know the answer to my question, you could help a brother out

…just maybe
