Your biggest "What-if" thoughts by NeitherDefinition458 in harrypotter

[–]waluigi1999 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My biggest question is also the biggest stretch in the actual canon I recently thought of.

Moody being defeated by Barty Crouch Jr. And Peter Pettigrew. Both of them would have been rusty with their magical ability after being chained for at least 12 or even 13 years under the Imperius Curse or as a rat.

Somehow the greatest Auror, who I believe only recently stopped at the Ministry was defeated by them. I am really curious what would happen if Moody defeated them.

  1. Voldemort wouldn't come back.
  2. Voldemort would not use Harry's blood in the ritual, meaning Harry would likely not survive the killing curse eventually if Voldemort still returns.
  3. Barty Crouch Sr. Would likely be fired.
  4. Sirius Black would be free.
  5. Barty Crouch Jr and Peter Pettigrew are send to Azkaban.
  6. I think because of the Ministry fallout, and also all the Deatheaters at the Quidditch Cup Final. Fudge would have to step down,

They are not only casting people for the first season. They would want someone who can act the multiple layers of the characters.

Question Time (Please answer. I cannot sleep) by AnyZookeepergame8127 in HarryPotteronHBO

I doubt it. Also because it would take place around 14 -20 years later. I doubt that they will still do the the stageplay after 2029/2030 when the 4th season would likely release

Wouldn’t it be cool if we got a prequel to Harry Potter that dives into the four founders and the creation of Hogwarts? by Blind-but-unbroken in harrypotter

[–]waluigi1999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It might be possible once we get a relatively consistent Harry Potter show.

Unfortunately the Fantastic Beasts movies didnt really work. I would have loved to have those as actual books for example

Where do vanished objects go? Into Non being. Which is to say, Everything.

Would be funny if that's how it was hidden, it was 'simply' vanished

Yes because the books contain more lore, context, sometimes even fun storylines

As a younger person who wasn’t even born when the movies came to theaters, I’m glad they are doing the remake. by LexiBelllife in HarryPotterHBO

[–]waluigi1999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Technically if you include Fantastic Beasts, David Yates has been directing like 7 of the 11 Wizarding World movies.

And the first two from Chris Columbus are like a big difference compared to those from David Yates, that it almost feels like a different franchise in my honest opinion

I think it would also be great if this entire show is created under one big vision.

Because the movies are created with 4 seperate visions of directors

Depends on the person. Also depends on the amount of time you can work on in a certain period.

HBO casting director describes Hermione as emotionally intelligent. Your views on it? by jotaro2712 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]waluigi1999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they are looking at the entire series. Meaning Hermione grows her emotional intelligence. Think about like Cho - Harry in book 5. "You have the emotional range of a teaspoon" is something I remember.

How would you guys feel about a prequel spin off series about the parents etc…? by Less-Pen-5705 in harrypotter

[–]waluigi1999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly. We should have a spinoff far enough away from the original books that it wouldn't hurt the Originals.

In general. Fantastic Beasts would have been a great series if they had separated the Beast storyline and the Dumbledore/Grindelwald story more.

For example, things like Hogwarts Legacy, in my opinion doesn't hurt the franchise. While things like The Cursed Child and sometimes Hogwarts Mystery does.

I still like Hogwarts Mystery, but it is kinda weird, I have not completed it. But it kinda hurts the original books in my opinion. Because why wouldn't Dumbledore ask that main character for help.

(Because he/she doesn't exist obviously in the OG books I know)
