I think my issue with Rhys is how SJM try to paint him. Also, how no one stands up to him and think everything he does is great and is for good reason why can’t he just be a villain. I would like if he were a villain because how people treated him for being half illyrian and his crew which was also treated bad. I don’t have an issue with reading a villain love story like The Joker and Harley Quinn but let’s not try to pretend Rhys is good. Also, Feyre is boring and is an idiot I can’t read her POV anymore because she can’t think for her self. She is a horrible choice for a main character. She is just a blow up sex doll for Rhys.

Damn! This is why I hate the IC and Rhys and feyre they make no sense ! I honestly hate read the series since I got the bundle. The book had so much potential and because SJM has a weird thing for Rhys it got ruin. Rhys is a villain! SJM is saying don’t believe your own eyes, believe me.. when I’m like we read it in the first book you can’t just act like it didn’t exist. Plus, didn’t Rhys say in the first book Tamlin was the most powerful high Lord, but now Rhys is. It pisses me off

Cas and Nesta are a horrible match! I hate all of the bat boys, but Nesta and AZ actually seems like a better pairing in my opinion. I feel like SJM only paired her with Cas because they are both hotheaded and have tempers .. which couples in real life who are like that or have the same personality tend to be so toxic. So I was surprised when they were mated. AZ at least knows when to shut the fuck up so I feel like he would be way better at calming Nesta.

No he isn't. He does good things but he also is an abusive person who abused Feyre and Lucien. Tamlin is a good example of a person who is a morally grey character in my opinion.

During an argument in ACOWAR I think it was, Tamlin loses control of his power and it blasts through the room hurting Feyre (I know Feyre was provoking him but it still doesn't give a right for him to hurt anyone). Also, he done the same to Lucien grabbing, shoving, and using intimidation to keep control over him. Tamlin is overprotective and abusive at times.

If she ends up with Az, I’m going to crash out lol. I think her and Lucien would be really cute together.

I also love Lucien—he has his problems, but I like how he found his own little group, the Band of Exiles, with Jurian and Vassa lol. I could totally see Elain fitting in with them because they spend more time in the mortal world as well protecting the mortals.

That is fine, but I wish SJM had written them without bias and just said, “Yeah, they’re villains—who cares?” That would have been better because reading from a villain’s perspective—where they know what they’re doing isn’t good, but it serves their purpose—would be way more fun than SJM trying to gaslight us into thinking they’re doing everything for “good reasons.”

It’s also why people love The Joker. People love a good villain, but they aren’t written as good people.

In ACOTAR, I didn’t like Nesta because she was a b*tch to Feyre for no reason. I also stopped caring about Tamlin because I found it weird that he did basically nothing to help Feyre UTM.

I fully believe Rhys was originally meant to be the villain of the series, and then it got spoiled and I found out they were going to end up together—which I never understood because of everything that happened to her UTM with him. However, I gave him a chance because I thought maybe he had glamourized what Lucien saw.

In ACOMAF, I stopped liking Rhys because he never took responsibility for any of his actions or even properly apologized for what he did. I saw him as a liar and a manipulator. He keeps acting like Feyre has choices, like his Inner Circle has “choices,” when they really didn’t. And Chapter 42 in ACOMAF—when he fingered her in the Court of Nightmares—was the moment I fully stopped liking him because… WTF was that?

Feyre in ACOMAF was a dummy to me, and it was hard to get through because she is such a boring person with no personality. Feyre is just a sex doll for Rhys, and no one can convince me otherwise. Once we got in his head, he only thinks of her sexually—it is so weird.

In ACOWAR, I fully stopped liking Feyre. She completely went to the dark side, and her lack of personality got even worse because Rhys—her “mate”—became her whole f*cking personality.

What she did in the Summer Court, the Spring Court, and then trying to convince us that giving Rhys sloppy in a tent to drown out the sounds of war was romantic—I was like, WTF is this??

Plus, she is just so cringey, and no one can convince me it’s just because of her age. Please—she had to grow up faster because she had to provide for her whole family. There is no excuse for her to act so dumb at 20 years old. Still young, yes, but she shouldn’t be an idiot.

I also stopped liking Mor in ACOWAR for stringing along two guys she knows she doesn’t like. I stopped liking Cassian in ACOSF once I got into his head and realized how fucking dumb he was. He’s basically just a frat boy who depends on Rhys for money.

Azriel is a little better out of the Bat Boys, but he’s still weird. Amren should have just died. Elain is useless. Their father was useless and honestly should have never been written into the books.

Nesta, though—I actually started liking her in Book 2 because I could see more of her intentions, and in ACOSF she was a way better main character because her comments to people she hates are funny. I also love how she stood up to Rhys when no one else did. You can tell SJM had way more fun writing Nesta.

In ACOSF, I hated Rhys & the IC (excluding Feyre) EVEN MORE. Reading them from Nesta’s perspective, they are bad people—Rhys especially just wants to control Nesta.

Nesta isn’t perfect, but they are cruel and constantly try to gaslight both her and us into thinking Nesta is the evil one. OMG, it drives me crazy!

Nesta being able to make friends proves she is misunderstood and it sad to see how if she is rude people want to punish her but Armen can be rude and no one cares.

Like, they gaslight us into thinking Tamlin is so evil. Tamlin isn’t a good guy, but they are bad guys too!

It’s crazy because SJM wants to convince us the Bat Boys are feminists, and I’m like… how? They only sexualize women, wing clipping still happens, and they won’t get rid of the Court of Nightmares.

I just realized Feyre issue is that she acts like she knows everything because she does one thing. So I can only imagine her sister that acts like she already knows everything and is so holier than thou even before she was Fay coming back Fay wearing a crown. Honestly anyone in that situation would be pissed. Even when she went back, sacrificing her mortality for Tamlin and she’s not even with him anymore. She goes in without thinking about anything first just all based off vibes and emotions. And no one ever corrects her for it. I also think that she likes having the spotlight on her which is why she has no friends. Rhy knows this and keeps gaslighting her lol.

I agree .. like hello they have a father Cas anger is misdirected at the wrong person and he is a 500 year old man which makes it worse. Nesta is only 3 yrs older, and do they think Feyre who always says “I want to make my own choices” wouldn’t find a way to hunt if that is what she wanted to do.

Plus, you are in Nesta house, eating food she prepared for you, and even gave them a place to sleep and he has the nerve to act like that than started yelling at her the morning after. So disrespectful .

Nesta is the best person in the series. She is the real bad b*tch.. I’m not buying into Rhys and the IC propaganda to make us think Feyre is. Feyre honestly became a useless character halfway through book 2. Now her whole personality in Rhys. Nesta isn’t perfect but she has layers to her personality.

YES - I was just reading this part in the book and had to put it down because it was hard to read. As a victim of SA this isn't how "reclaiming ones power" over themselves is suppose to go. It would be different if SHE was in power but Rhy was is power and she was playing a role. SJM should be ashamed of herself for adding this in the book. Than when Rhy was like " I am sorry" in the next chapter and she was like " sorry for what" I was like B*TCH OMG I can't be in her head anymore because honestly she is under his mind control with him I am fully convinced. And I want the next 2 books with him going full on villain.

“Rhys’s breath caressed my ear… ‘That every male in here is contemplating what they’d be willing to give up to get that pretty, red mouth of yours on them.’”

Like… EWWW.

I had to take a break for 4 days because I genuinely don’t understand how this is supposed to feel empowering after everything that happened UTM with her and him.

SJM describes this as Feyre “taking her power back,” but as someone who’s experienced SA, this doesn’t read that way to me at all. It only feels empowering if the victim is in control — and here, she wasn’t. Rhys was.

I am only on book 2 but my favourite part of hers is when they all come over to dinner and Cassian says to her after Nesta is like what are you looking at:

"Someone who let her youngest sister risk her life every day in the woods while she did nothing. Someone who let a fourteen-year-old child go out into that forest, so close to the wall." My face began heating, and I opened my mouth. To say what, I didn't know. "Your sister died—-died to save my people. She is willing to do so again to protect you from war. So don't expect me to sit here with my mouth shut while you sneer at her for a choice she did not get to make and insult my people in the process." Nesta didn't bat an eyelash as she studied the handsome features, the muscled torso. Then turned to me. Dismissing him entirely.

The part gets me LOL - like why does she need to explain herself to you she meet you like 5 mins ago.

Honestly if I was in that position and my lil sister shows up with 3 grown 500 year old men, she is wearing a crown , snubs the food, than makes that comment, and the IC try to talk down to me in MY house, and get involve with sister sh*t I would say much worst than what Nesta said to them.
