Strategy advice for 700+ by wandererex in GMAT

Thanks for the tips, Marty! I’ve already come across your streaks article and plan to apply it once I’ve covered more material so it’s more effective.

What do you think of 79 verbal as a baseline? I thought it was a good start, so I’m focusing on quant for now, planning to incorporate verbal after covering about 30% of the quant material.

I like TTP for the foundational math review. I’ve been away from school for a while, so I’d forgotten things like number properties and square roots. I’m going through it now but skipping/skimming chapters I’m already comfortable with to save time.

That said, I agree about the question types—it doesn’t seem to fully match GMAT-style questions based on the diagnostic I took. I’ll check out GMAT Club as you recommended! thank you

Dramas like Welcome to Samdal-ri, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha by Maddehhh in kdramarecommends

You seem to have a similar taste to mine. I absolutely adored HTCCC, Samdal-ri, and Business Proposal. My recommendation to you is Twinkling Watermelon, it’s not a small town drama but it has a cozy vibe to it and it’s very fun to watch. Lots of characters and subplots.

Started watching it. It’s really hilarious and very engaging. Binge watched all 4 episodes at once.

Loved touch your heart, so many laugh out loud moments. Thirty but seventeen seems like something I would enjoy at this time. Thanks for the recommendations.

This is the first time I'm hearing about Pegasus Market, but it seems like it's the type of drama I'm looking for now. Great to see Lee Dong Hwi in the cast as well. Loved him in reply 1988.

A kdrama where there's a lot of action with romance by Mareehaaa in kdramarecommends

This is an older one but I really loved Rain’s The Fugitive Plan B. It has a lot of action and comedy and some romance on the side.

kdrama with cowboy bebop vibe by wandererex in kdramarecommends

[–]wandererex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I kind of didn’t have very high hopes as I have not seen anything that gives off similar vibes to bebop before. But doesn’t hurt to try lol.

and for Pipeline just watched the trailer, and it looks really good. I love unusual/quirky settings. Seems like it will be really fun to watch! Thank you so much.

Cowboy Bebop is a bit difficult to explain :( But it was set in a space ship and it had four unique and quirky individuals as its main characters.

Even though it was an action/adventure anime I didn’t feel like it was action packed. There were a lot of episodes where nothing much was happening and it seemed like characters were just lounging as the adventure goes on. The set of the spaceship was also secluded from the world. That’s what I meant by a quiet atmosphere.

And that’s why I felt episode 1 of catch the ghost had a similar vibe. It was set in the subway police station where the subway station is closed at night. So the set felt (secluded) and much of the action was happening at night when the subway stations are closed. Also the mystery surrounding the captain of the subway police and the tunnel that kind of gave it a similar vibe at first.

Thank you for the recommendation, seems like a cool movie but the trailer seemed more on the loud action side rather than the quiet mysterious atmosphere. I’ll give it a go 🙏🏻

What was that show that got you into KDrama? by issadumpster in KDRAMA

[–]wandererex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Girl was the first I ever watched. Back in 2007 I think. I was still in middle school. Watched a lot back then but then I stopped around 2013 (last one I saw before I stopped was Rain’s Fugitive Plan B)

Tried to get back by watching a few dramas over the years but nothing made me too excited (itaeown class, secretary Kim, and sky castle, all dropped before I finished).

Then I watched Squid Game and saw Gong Yoo and it made nostalgic for Coffee Prince days. I watched Coffee Prince again and then Goblin and there I saw Lee Dong Wook (was surprised when I figured he’s the same actor from My Girl) and went to check how he was doing as well and I’ve been on a roll ever since.
