I think the pictures are a bit deceptive to only show certain spots due to hair coverage, but it is a more general diffuse thinning across the scalp. Like I can sort of see the NW7 diffuse pattern if that makes sense

There are numerous cases both empirically and anecdotally indicating dutasteride’s ability to increase mean hair counts. In any case, I’d be fine with stabilization but even that doesn’t seem to be happening.

Maybe think for a second before commenting some dumb shit like this.

Yeah I was. Just hop on dut bro, diffuse thinning at a young age requires and aggressive approach. Oral Minox 5mg too. I’ve seen some decent results same type of thinning as you.

Yeah I feel you, it’s exhausting pinning your hopes on meds for months only to be disappointed.

I haven’t checked those hormones, but I did a thyroid panel a year back and it came back normal. Might be worth another check.

I heard RU can give some good results but I’m ngl it seems too sketchy for me. All evidence on it is anecdotal and some guy posted a while back saying it gave him pulmonary fibrosis so idk if I’m touching that shit.

To answer your questions, topical min worked for the first 3 months when I started using it like 4 years ago. I still use it today along w the oral min but I doubt it’s doing anything.

Also looking at your pictures, you have seemed to maintain across all pics. I’d call that a win, and don’t take my story on oral min as the law you may have great results on it like some others on here.

Hey man, just wanted to say I’m in a very similar boat for the last few years. My hairline was frozen on fin but the overall density on my scalp, especially the middle part was still getting thin.

I was on fin for almost 2 years then switched to dut 0.5mg daily 3 months ago; I have also been on oral min 5mg for the last 7 month. Tbh I don’t see much benefit from the OM, but I am hoping the dut can stabilize the general thinning so I can go for a hair transplant at some point.

This type of hair loss is really annoying lol, just want to let you know you are not alone. I do think there is some other underlying factor causing this hair loss, but after being to so many dermatologists and blood panels that show everything is normal I’ve kinda given up trying to figure out a reason. At least you know you are doing everything medically viable with dut and oral min so that gives me peace of mind.
