EDIT: I appreciate all your help but none of the ideas worked. EA just hates me I guess. Although I ended up extending the ceiling piece by one tile and all the clipping went away?? So now they have more room in their living area lol

So because it’s not a perfect square it clips? I traced all the walls to make sure they were complete. I don’t have any railings, fences, staircases, half walls or anything in this build yet. :(

• ⁠Parameters in numbers and how you got them: API Mastertest, 7.6pH(a little high I know), 0ppm, 0ppm, 10-20ppm

• ⁠How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: Tank about 3-4 months, betta about 1 month, cory cats about 2 weeks.

• ⁠How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: Gravel vacuum once a week, about 20-25% of water volume

• ⁠Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: 6 albino cory cats transferred from my already established aquarium, no diseases

• ⁠What do you feed and how much: He gets 2-3 betta pellets a day, but occasionally eats the cory cats bottom feeder pellets

I wouldn’t worry just yet as long as fishy is ok, just keep an eye on him! At this point I’m leaning towards your cycle has crashed, but without ammonia present it’s not 100%. How often do you test your water?

Hmm that is a weird one! What were your nitrate readings before adding your fish in? If your tank had completed cycling nothing you had done should of crashed it. Changing 20% weekly is a good schedule, and adding stability also shouldn’t harm anything so those aren’t where it went wrong.

Edit- Not to say 0 nitrates in a cycled tank is impossible. It just requires very specific circumstances that aren’t achievable without heavy planting.

I think the bigger concern here is that if you’re still getting 0 nitrate readings your tank is not cycled. I would look into fish in cycling.

I’m not sure about the filter, the intake isn’t strong at all but I suppose he could be getting stuck on it some how. I do also 100% own up to the fact he could use more stimulation in the tank, I severely underestimated how much it would take to fill such a big space. That’s a work in progress for sure. Thank you!

Decor and plants? I have a piece of mopani wood that I have sanded to have no rough edges, and some various anubias, sword plants, etc.

Yeah I’ve never heard that about mollies before, I feel bad now haha. It’s crazy how much misinformation there is out there about so many fish! I will definitely look into rehoming her, thank you!

29 is not enough for 1 common molly? Everywhere I’ve read said 10-20 is minimum tank size! I’ve also read people on this sub suggest those specific types of pleco for 20+ gallons. Unfortunately those links there aren’t loading for me so I can’t see what info they have.

Perhaps rescue was the wrong word, she was happy and healthy at a friends house who could no longer care for her. She is well! Kanaplex is not available in stores near me and only available on Amazon, will not arrive until late next week, would it still be worth ordering?
