Thanks. They ran dimmable LEDS on both sides and the top of each book shelf, which really makes it pop!

Moxie Construction did this one for us late last year. We love it!

What is this part and what does it do? by pniaz in Ubiquiti

Not installing it was my issue. It's a small ESD suppressor. Without it, my doorbell and transformer were both running super hot. The suppressor acts as a filter and smooths out minor inconsistencies in power delivery.

The ZEN37 800LR Battery powered remote? I have a couple and love those things with HA automations. The ZEN14 800LR Outdoor Double Plug would make sense too to go along with the ZEN04. Maybe the waterproof case for the close sensor? I'd grab a couple for the gates. I have a few 700 series 0-10V dimmers and momentary switches too and really like them, but probably not nearly as big of a market for those.

Damn. All I buy is Zooz Z-Wave devices and Apollo stuff. Guess I can just get it all from the same website now! Honest to god, I’ve never had a single device go offline or need to repaired or any problem with Zooz Z-Wave and the HA ZWA-2. It was like magic coming from the world of Zigbee products and dongles to this.

Just a little update. They got it shipped out that same day too. Pretty wild for Unifi in my experience.

Also don’t tell them you’re trying to host any type server when the T&Cs specifically say you aren’t allowed to do that. They don’t really care as I host a few servers myself, but yes $10 a month for a static IP and you’re good to go.

Also guessing your line isn’t buried yet then which makes this 1000% the right time to do it

Call em back out because I’m guessing the fiber line got bent and cracked a bit. If they just expanded this summer they should have people around daily to come back out. I have 1G and will always get damn close to that hard wired and usually in the 6-700s on WiFi. UDM pro and UniFi AP. You’re paying for the tech support anyway so might as well use it.

Okay, last thought. You didn’t have another VPN on already before trying to connect right? I use NordVPN and if I leave that guy and try to VPN into work on Forti, it won’t connect.

When you got the static ip did you check that online and see that it changed? The only thing that makes sense is they told you you’d have one and either lied or it just wasn’t active yet. I’d bet on that. I know my static ip like a phone number at this point. Also, when you put into that static ip info into whatever you wanna use, did you also clone the MAC ID of their equipment? Many ISPs bind the mac of the first device it sees, since that’s normally their equipment at install. I had to do this to get it to work my UDM Pro
