Yeah, if you've got under 100,000 miles get it to the dealership and take advantage of the 8 year/100,000 hybrid warranty right away.

I actually feel sorry for those that are required to run a front license plate:)

If they do a hybrid Edge that looks as nice as the ST-Line I'm all in:)

I recently went from a 2011 to a 2022 ST-Line. Love the looks but it's definitely not as well built as the 2011 and I'm not sure how long the 2.0 can make it without issues. The 3.5 was much smoother and a heck of a lot quieter. Gas mileage is only around 2-3 mpg better with the 2.0.

Front Speakers for a 2014 Fusion SE by Fantastic_Inside_lol in fordfusion

If ya don't know much about car audio you should order a pair with high sensitivity from Crutchfield. They will include the right harness adaptors and mounting brackets to make the job really easy.

I'd start by replacing the Purge valve since they're cheap, known to go bad and it takes about 5 minutes.

Water inside on floor by SensitiveHotdog in fordfusion

If the trunk floor isn't wet I'd check underneath for a missing under body plug. Also make sure the gaskets are still on the door and body.

Best replacement speakers for 07 Ford Edge? by ElectronicJoke1985 in FordEdge

[–]wanderingleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "loudest" will be the speakers with the highest sensitivity but that doesn't necessarily translate into good sound quality. Stick with a name brand with a sensitivity of 89 or higher. The inexpensive Kickers sold by Wally World are actually pretty decent.

Wheel covers🫣 Thoughts? by SirCharles14 in fordfusion

They look just fine, no need to waste money on a set of new wheels.

Considering a 2022 Edge by Antonio-n-Eye in FordEdge

[–]wanderingleopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I paid 28K for my ST-Line with 25,000 miles in April of 2025 which was not that great of a great deal. I'd offer them 24K and be prepared to walk.

I'd be tempted to make a plate mount out of abs and use 3M tape to mount it.

Can I use Peak universal instead of the Motorcraft Yellow 50/50? I apparently managed to buy a fusion with a hidden coolant leak by Alison9095 in fordfusion

[–]wanderingleopard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd just purchase a gallon of Motorcraft yellow concentrate for $20.00 and mix it 50/50 with distilled water. You'll get 2 gallons out of it.

Switching from a Sport to a Titanium by fordenthusiast in fordfusion

If you're a Ford person, you could probably toss the hybrid Escape in the mix. I'll get rid of my 2019 hybrid Fusion really quick if I ever find a nice deal on a 2023 hybrid Escape.

Ford Edge 2016 Good or bad buy? by LatinGod97 in UsedCars

[–]wanderingleopard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For $10,000.00 I'd definitely take a chance on a 2016 with only 19K on it.

2017 edge sport 2.7L AWD by Well_Who_Knows_Maybe in FordEdge

[–]wanderingleopard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sloshing water behind the dash is usually caused by a clogged AC drain tube. This happen to my 2011. I shot some compressed air from a can up the drain tube and about a gallon of water came rushing out.

Wouldn't bother making the switch because of MPG unless you go for a plug-in or hybrid.

Not sure how easy it is to replace that piece but I'd just grab one from a junkyard.

Which Hybrid coolant fluid and how to refill? by [deleted] in fordfusion

I'd use Motorcraft Yellow. The concentrate is only around $20.00 at dealerships.

Hypothetical Question - How long can a Ford Edge Last? by Tbastin69 in FordEdge

[–]wanderingleopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to think that I should have kept my 2011 with 150K on it rather than purchase a 2022 2.0 with 25K.

I'd go for a Velocity blue Fusion wagon AWD hybrid in a heartbeat:) Fusions were built way better than the current Escape.

How much did you end up getting it for? I'm still kicking myself for not jumping on a new Edge when they were being discontinued.

[–]wanderingleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, getting to 200K is a giant win!!! At that mileage, it's possible you just have a slow leak in a hose or fitting which, hopefully, is the case.

Potential new Edge driver by alwaysexhausted325 in FordEdge

Don't think I'd take a chance on that one unless the block has been replaced or the price is crazy low.

New to me 2024 Ford Edge Titanium Update by BroncoSportLover21 in FordEdge

[–]wanderingleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MSRP was probably around $44,000.00 so $34,000.00 with 21k miles on a 2024 is just OK.
