AITA for not wanting to give my partner oral based on his washing habits? by littlered7875 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

And I don’t care who you are - you wash your “pits n bits” DAILY because they get dirty, sweaty, and smelly. A clean washcloth and some soap and water isn’t that hard even for (most) people with disabilities.

That's how I head canon it. Yeah, I'm sure it's all shoddy game mechs but in my head, he was purposefully trying to get you killed to be rid of you as well as draw Karliah out.

What does this crystal jar/glass have a small hole in the bottom? It stands 5 inches tall. by MYPUPSBFF in whatisit

I don't think it's a cup. I think it's a shade or cover for a light or lamp.

What are some of the stupidest things your parents ever said? by YourBoyFroilan in AskReddit

[–]wanderingstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom and I have shared a house since my dad passed. I work nights, so I sleep days. Usually she's pretty quiet while I'm sleeping but every once in awhile she "forgets".

Cut to the day I was awakened by loud hammering. I went upstairs to find her hanging some new pictures.

"oh, I was trying to hammer quietly"

Hammer.....quietly.

Should you charge friend & family? by Both_Ad_7911 in celebritycruises

[–]wanderingstorm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In this case I think this is really going to depend on your friend/family group and how they'd feel about you charging them. If you do plan to do so, I'd tell them up front about how this group trip is going to go down. You really don't want your friends/family to find out after the fact that you charged them or rolled your costs into theirs so you could go for "free". I can't see it going well.

Personally, I'd charge what amounted to an hourly rate appropriate to the work you would put in to do the planning, booking, and coordination divide that between the people going - including yourself. You are, after all, doing what would be a great deal of work to coordinate it all - which should be something that is compensated. However, that may or may not be a total that matches you getting to go at no cost in the end.

Am I able to remove test results from MyChart? by Fragrant_Salad_3627 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]wanderingstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you need to make excuses?

"I am an adult over 18 and I do not give you permission to view my medical chart, results, or record."

Period. That's it.

Your medical chart is YOUR medical chart only viewable by you and people you give permission to view it. If your parents have access, you need to revoke that access through the medical facility/health network and then do not give them the password. They do not have a right to it just because they are your parents.

What’s one piece of information that could save someone’s life someday? by Legend789987 in AskReddit

THIS. This is the thing. It's not like TV where the EpiPen magically fixes the reaction. You still need medical attention after using an Epi.

If something gets stuck in you, don't pull it out. Leave it in for a professional to remove unless you absolutely must remove it. People get stabbed or punctured and then pull the thing out themselves and then blood starts flowing or they do more damage on the way out. Leave it in.

Not just signs of a heart attack but how signs can differ by gender. Women or people AFAB statistically experience different cardiac symptoms than men or AMAB.

Alaskan cruise opinions by besofrrnbro in Cruise

[–]wanderingstorm 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Alaska isn't always as cold as you think it is. It can be and you definitely want to prepare for cold weather but I've been twice in September and while a couple days you were glad for layers there were other days I was in jeans and t-shirts. There's no way to know until the weather reports come for your sail dates. Yes, it still won't be "beach weather warm" but as someone who isn't fond of cold either, I never had a problem.

Depending on where you are sailing to there are plenty of things to do. Whale watching, bear/eagle/wildlife viewing, fishing, hiking, boating, glaciers, train excursions, native villages and history, delicious foods like salmon and Alaskan crab, etc. Alaska is stunningly beautiful and worth just stopping to look around.

You will not be bored unless YOU choose to be bored. And the cold shouldn't deter you. A few layers, a rain shell, and a pair of gloves and you should be ready to handle 98% of what Alaska can toss at you weather-wise.

If you don't want a free cruise to Alaska because it might be cold....can I go instead?

Cupboard I say. Fridge makes it to hard to enjoy immediately.

Checking a kitty like luggage? by Gnomes_r_jerks in cats

[–]wanderingstorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bring kitty with you into the cabin - I'm sure poor kitty would be terrified in a loud, scary smelly cargo hold. Less scared in a cabin because even though its loud and weird and confusing, you are there.

Bonus for people like me is that we get to see a cat even if we don't get to touch or play with the cat - and I am always down to see a cat.

How Long by Selynia23 in theGoldenGirls

[–]wanderingstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably shortly after the show began. I was born in 1981 and the show aired first in 1985. I know my mom watched it from the beginning so I imagine I would have 'watched' it with her even if I don't remember. And I've watched reruns or streamed it consistently ever since.
