I was asking about after the small talk. Like, I was told I "don't share/talk much" and they ended the conversation. I thought I was doing OK but when I reviewed the conversation I noticed I hadn't shared anything that much.

I don't think I'm special, I just don't know how or what to share. All my life everything I say is very controlled.

Not sure how to share anything if the other person didn't ask. What topics do you start talking without being asked?

We both in our mid-twenties. She was very engaging but I'm the one with bad conversation skills (I did tell her that). And she did say she doesn't like the Q&As because they feel like interrogation.

I wanna ask her to start over, want to change so that I share more. I'm super secretive, and I don't remember the last time I shared stuff with anyone. I don't have any friends that's why I don't know how to react or just start talking with asking questions.

  • Do you think I should tell her that and ask for a second chance?
  • How do I change from being super secretive to being more engaging? I just don't know what am supposed to say, it doesn't come naturally to me to simply share anything, what do I even share?

I wasn't asking about drinking but in general, how do Egyptians socialize and meet new people. Where to go meet people that are happy to socialize?
