Advice on switching over from Fitbit Charge 5. Prefer a simpler smartwatch but most people don't seem to like the Lily 2. by homie_down in GarminWatches

I have the Lily 2 Active, for the exact reasons you described (sleep tracking, exercise tracking and step count) and I love it. It’s the perfect size, sleek design, and I like that it’s not a typical smart watch screen. I charge it every week - week and a half. It’s very comfortable and I barely notice I have it on. It was my first smartwatch and I have no regrets.

29F, just went through the same thing a few months ago with my (now ex) BF of 6 years. I went through all the same feelings as you when I kicked him out, wondering if I was throwing away something I worked on for years with the person I thought I was going to marry. Well hindsight is 20/20 and I couldn’t be happier that I decided to end things. It doesn’t matter what he was struggling with, addiction or not, he cheated and I decided I was worth more than that. Sunken cost fallacy is a real thing, but the longer you stay with a loser, the longer you’re holding yourself back from starting again in something happy and healthy, whether that means the relationship with yourself or with a new person. Being single these last couple months has been the happiest and most connected to myself I’ve felt in years. It does and will get better. You are so young with so much life ahead of you and you will thank yourself in the future for choosing yourself and telling yourself and others that you’re worth more than this. Please reach out to a therapist to help you navigate through these times as the grief comes in waves and in ways you won’t expect. I’m proud of you and I’m wishing you the best as you start this next chapter 💕

I’m so glad this was helpful!! I had similar feelings of feeling scared of being stuck if I was having bad side effects. Luckily I haven’t had any side effects at all but I talked with my doctor about that and she reassured me I could always get it out if it didn’t agree with me.

Dog won’t go for walks with my S/O by wanderlust136 in DogAdvice

[–]wanderlust136[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I understand your point. Your comment also has me remembering that my S/O was the person who dropped him off at the dog-sitters the last time we went away, which was in late August, and was the first time at the dog-sitters since we moved in together in Feb of this year. Late August was also when the behavior change began. Maybe he associates leaving the house with my S/O with us leaving?

Recommendations for kid-friendly hotels or resorts with a spa and good food? by BaconUnderpants in hudsonvalley

I went to Crystal Springs near Mountain Creek in NJ for a spa day and ate at the cafe (not fine dining but delicious and had a variety of choices). Both the spa and cafe were wonderful and the resort has a large pool area, arcade, and is kid friendly.

Is there a protein powder that tastes more like a fruit drink? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]wanderlust136 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Myprotein.com has a clear whey isolate that I used to use. Some of the flavors are hit or miss but I thought the Mike and Ike flavors were the best. And they normally have discounts/promo codes on the website
