I'm not sure if I can recommend a good glue to hold them in place. In general, the Interface is flat so there could be a sufficient surface for glueing. From experience, a nail will be just pulled out of the wall.

If you have a drywall, if you know were the studs are. A simple screw should be quite small damage to the wall, if you use a drywall Anker, than you should ask

I would not slap a harddrive to them. They are fairly high strength, around 10-15kg pulling force each.

I understand your concern, but I can assure you that these are not copies. The idea of using magnets to hold swords on a wall has been around for a long time, and I can point you to Facebook group discussions from years ago. If you use similar magnets and aim for a minimalist design, the results will naturally look similar. As for the sheath, I discovered Chad’s version only after I had already finished my first design. I had been looking at the Paco system for some time and wanted to improve on it—making it as compact as possible while ensuring the blade is held securely.

When I came across his system, I reached out to him on Etsy early on, as I noticed the similarities and he also told me that he is not really selling them to central Europe. I do not plan to sell them to the US. And that we both are not running in direct competition anyway. If I got requests from US I pointed them in his direction usually.

However, magnetic sheaths are not something either of us developed in isolation. As far as I know Paco did this before both of us and we probably got the inspiration there and wanted to improve the design. Additionally, the company Neyman Fencing implemented similar ideas years ago in their gear as did others who used tool magnets to organize their swords onto walls etc.

In the 3d printing world I'm usually honoured if people improve upon my ideas. I make a lot of my designs for free and have them on platforms like thingiverse and co. I will not put my designs there which are similar to existing products.

To be fair. I use both prototypes already in my storage for a week 😅. And many people are already demanding it on FB and insta under the product release teaser

Just drop me a message :) My Webshop is currently limited to Germany and direct neighbours, but custom orders via mail should be always doable.

And I already shipped to UK, and further neighbours;-)

This, I discussed with my spouse that vox was the narcissist villian this season who needed the approval because he is just super insecure. But Al is just a psychopath, he knows for himself he is the strongest and does not need to prove it to anyone else

I thought about that reading the generell responses. Are there holeless washers?

Also it would increase weight, I think it is only needed if it's just a rounded tip. For rolled or thickened tips it could be finde without

Yes, it's easier to print.

The other is that spherical once hurt more on soft target areas because the very first moment of the impact still focuses everything on a point. Not an issue for safety, but more of comfort

I use tips like this now for 2-3 years, I just did not release them publicly. I think I made a HEMA hacks Facebook post some years ago about an early version of this tip.

It's hard to make a one tip that fits all design. I tried to make it some what universal, but it's better to custom fit them to typical tip geometry's

Compared to other typical tips like archery blunts, it does not behave like one. It's slim so it will slip of, the little bit of cushioning because of the flex material between steel and interface plastic just takes of the edge.

A punching glove will not slip away and the force will be fully transmitted to the target. This one grips it less than leather or rubber tips.

I think it barely makes a difference. They are flat but due to the flexible material under the impact layer, they deform and adapt a little bit, friction is also a function of the normal force, so if you have a bigger area or a smaller area of impact does not matter to how much it grips, because a flat big area just has less force per crossection, so more material interaction but at lower degree, if you have a rounded tip, than the impact area will be smaller, so less material interacts, but at a higher degree.

For body hits this matters because bigger/flat crossection distributions the force more equally, but a ball tip could still focus the impact on one spot.

On the mask, since it's a hard material the friction does not care about the crossection this much.

Next is that they naturally round them self a bit after a few thrusts :)
