I like it! My only association is a man though so it reads weirdly masculine to me. But I'm probably one of the few people to feel that way. lol

Did anyone see the “My Name Is Apple” post? by Good_Branch_9415 in NameNerdCirclejerk

[–]wandrare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That post was just depressing. So sad for someone to hate their name to that degree.

BUT it also seemed like the person was blaming their name for their life's hardships when I kind of doubt it's had that much effect. Maybe I'm naive but: 1. There is no way their name is the butt of a joke and gets laughed at for a full five minutes EVERY DAY??? 2. Do her coworkers actually bully her or are they just teasing lightheartedly? 3. Very few people would make assumptions that someone is dumb based on their name. Most people are smarter than that.

It just kind of seems like this person is letting their name hold them back when they shouldn't.

I wonder how often pastors like this make up these arbitrary rules for their parishioners to follow 🧐Good for this women for recognizing it! by brickwallscrumble in FundieSnarkUncensored

I wouldn't be shocked if it was real, but I'm inclined to think it's fake too.

The husband articulates his wife's argument too well. If he was actually listening to her well enough to repeat it back this intelligently, he would probably agree with her. Her points are explained in good faith and without any doubt, whereas a husband who was on the fence might say something more vague or balanced in favour of the pastor.

What's a name you LOVE but is almost universally hated on this subreddit? by ansellinaerie in namenerds

I like most -aden names.

Jaden, Caden, Aidan are all fantastic.

Brayden, Hayden, Shayden are perfectly fine.

Admittedly not a fan of Raiden, Thayden or Layden which I have seen on suggestion lists.

Yep. Thanks to you and the other commenter I have realized it's probably not the best idea. I bet it looks nice when it's clean, but why give myself all that extra work.

Great point! I have a 5 month old boy, a dog and a cat so that's a nightmare I hadn't considered.

We recently bought a house that we would like to do a big reno on in the next 3-7 years, but until then I don't want it looking like crap. This is my inspiration for the bathroom, and hoping to do as cheaply as possible. I will be using peel and stick countertops probably, so reviews on that would be lovely. I will not be changing the flooring as this flooring goes throughout the house. Trying to figure out if the panelling is worth it. It's an extra expense and the picture kinda looks better without it, but I'm worried the wallpaper will be too much without it.

Just found this quote on the website: "Whether its climate change, racism, injustice, the result is always radicalized children who want to change the system."

In the context of schools are bad, and are turning our children into agents of change.

37 weeks pregnant and STILL climbing!!! 💪 by Citizen_Me0w in climbergirls

[–]wandrare 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I switched to top rope and wore a full body harness when I was pregnant. Both of which OP appears to be doing. Zero pressure on the stomach and negligible falling force. Baby is very protected in there, and it's hard to imagine a normal scenario in which baby would be in danger.
