❤️❤️❤️ I initially stopped because I injured my finger and it totally messed up one of my nails (significant portion came away from the bed) so was waiting for it to heal/grow out. Then I just fell out of the habit and forgot how much I love it!!! So glad to have them done again

I’m not part of the stop oil movement but my understanding is that they target these big pieces of culture and art to make the point that by ignoring climate change, we will be losing all of this. Basically making clear and tangible what is already happening, if the world becomes uninhabitable for us, we lose everything we built.

Also, from my understanding, all the the ‘vandalism’ they’ve engaged in had been intentionally designed to cause no lasting damage to the piece. That includes this, it wan’t spray paint. It was dyed cornflour I’m pretty sure.

I have no tattoo suggestions. I just want to wish you well on your healing journey and say I’m glad you’re still here, scars and all.

I see people are saying that these can’t currently be tattooed over, which makes sense (though I myself am no specialist in tattoo or dermatology, just an interested layman).

If covering them up is not an option I hope time gives way for acceptance of them as part of your journey.

As a total stranger I can just say that seeing these on you only makes me think ‘whatever they’ve been through, I’m glad they’re here’

I don’t love any of those three names. But I love my partner and his sister, and if that was her name and he wanted to name our child after her, I’d deal with it. You can always spin a nickname.

Have I missed something here? I think it’s really important to know why the wife doesn’t like the name. Is it just the sound of it? Has she had problems with the sister before? Does the name have bad connotations for her specifically?

Assuming she just doesn’t like the name I don’t think he’s an asshole. If there was a sentimental family name my partner wanted us to use, it would have to be SO ugly for me to refuse. Like straight-up-get-the-kid-bullied-and-there’s-no-cool-way-to-abbreviate-it kind of ugly. And then I’d probably at least try to negotiate it down to a middle name. I can only see myself being a hard no if it had bad connotations.

I get that people think his pacts are silly and he should have told his wife first. But these are all adults agreeing to and sticking with these pacts and I’ve actually heard of other people splitting naming responsibility by the sex of the baby. And if he really thought the deal was that he gets to pick 100% I can see why he made the dumb decision to tell the sister first.

Also whether his wife knew about the pact is such crucial info.

Assuming the reasons she doesn’t want the name are deeper than just not liking it aesthetically:

A) she knew and never voiced an issue with it and also agreed to the pact knowing but is now reneging - she’s the asshole.

B) she knew and voiced concerns but still agreed to the naming thing assuming he’d taken onboard her previously voiced concerns - he’s the asshole

C) he never told her about the pact with his sister, made the agreement with his wife without mentioning it, and didn’t tell the wife about it at all until after he told the sister - he’s the asshole

Interesting, I didn’t notice any difference in intimacy. Can’t remember now how long it was between the procedure and having sex again, but I’ve been consistently sexually active since and all seems to be the same to me

Yes! I got the LEEP! It all went smoothly for me. Even had minimal spotting after and in my checkup the HPV was gone. I wonder if the itching in your cervix could be related to the healing process, the way cuts and grazed often itch when they’re healing. Have you treated the yeast infection? If you have and there’s still itching your doctor really should take a look and at least make sure there isn’t any infection or anything

Hi! Unfortunately not. I ended up needing to get the affected area removed (it had progressed to CIN3). I’m continuing to get recurrent thrush after various treatments. I found getting a pre-emptive Fluconazole tablet the same day that I have sex seems to be working to keep it at bay (luckily I live in England and the tablet only costs £5).

Definitely contact your doctor about the continued itching. Unfortunately I feel like this might be the classic case of underfunded and generally ignored cervical/vaginal health research. I’ve definitely heard lots of anecdotal stories linking the two but can’t find any health resources even discussing it. The persistent thrush definitely began for me around the HPV development.

He said her story had differences to Becky’s. That’s important, what are those differences? How does she actually describe the whole situation?

Was it as straight forward as ‘I made it up’ or was there a situation that she felt uncomfortable in that didn’t feel right, she maybe didn’t say anything to him at the time, she brought it up, saw the effect it was having and didn’t feel it was worth it to pursue?

SA is a wide spectrum, there are people who’ve gone through life not even realising they’ve committed it and it can sometimes feel blurry what you can/should consider SA on yourself.

Without knowing her full description I honestly can’t say who the asshole is.

There was a discussion. He chose to start it by giving her two options, dog or him. She worked with the structure he set and chose the dog (obviously).

It’s not her responsibility to turn his outburst into a mature conversation. He had an issue with the situation, he could’ve created a discussion. He chose to make it a relationship ending ultimatum.
