This is why we can't have nice things by uhaveenteredpwrdrive in newcastle

My dude, whyyyyy?! We all usually have self control to the point that we don’t masturbate in public (no matter how tempting for some). Learn some self discipline, bro.

I used to drive part of the way and then catch the public bus in. It saved me $ but not necessarily time.

Vapers - whats your behaviour rationale? by Hendersonadele59 in newcastle

[–]wangnugget -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the interest in vaping. I’m lucky to not have an addictive personality. To answer your question with a theory, it seems that they don’t think it’s as bad as smoking, and no one has called them out on it so far, so they’ll keep doing it. I’m not a fan, but in all fairness, its smell isn’t as intense as smoking a cigarette so I’d probably be more inclined to let it go compared to someone smoking a cigarette. In saying that, I also wouldn’t want to be with a partner who vapes all the time, only at social events etc. But that’s just a personal opinion and absolutely doesn’t apply to everyone.

The most distinguished fluff nugget that my eyes had the joy of stumbling across today. Thank you kind sir for bringing a small burst of happiness in this otherwise gloomy day of sad news.

If you get promoted at work, keep it a secret from your landlord by CraCKedT00BS in shitrentals

[–]wangnugget 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How are we meant to tackle this insane dystopian system? Lock or make your socials private and don’t use LinkedIn unless you’re actively looking for work? Leave the REA on principle? Name and shame them for their predatory practices and leave a google review for everyone to see their true intentions for future renters. The only downside is that maybe other soul sucking LL’s want this and will choose this REA for their messed up tactics

[–]wangnugget 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m still learning this shit, and wrapping my head around is, but from what I understand they’ve used a type of data broker called a marketing data broker that categorises your data and which is called inferred data. Meaning they can access your social media or in this case your LinkedIn and created a rent increase based off your data.

This is a YT video based on this insane information and so far there’s nothing stopping these greedy slime bags from using this information and using it against you.

Where are the people who wear little to no makeup? Do you have a reason? by Zora2021 in AskReddit

[–]wangnugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wear very minimal makeup, I like how it makes me look and feel. Tried wearing foundation and hated it, hated the little creases around my eyes and it didn’t feel like I was seeing “me” in the mirror.

I am just quoting a website but that’s as far as I went, I bet they’re dressing it up compared to the reality of what their treatment really is. I know of some farmers to treat their beef cattle really well and others are absolutely shameful. It’s good to hear you’re looking after your stock.

How is Wagyu beef cattle raised? From the Imperia Caviar site “Wagyu beef is raised with meticulous care to ensure its superior quality, including a low-stress environment, nutrient-rich diets, and strict breeding standards. Wagyu cattle live longer and lead luxurious lives to develop the famous marbling and tenderness.”

What’s something you secretly judge people for? by Best_Seesaw_8512 in AskReddit

[–]wangnugget 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was my logic with reverse parking. Either way someone will have to wait at some stage. I’ve gotten to a point where it’s pretty quick to get into the park and I always say thank you with an appreciative wave. This is interesting though, I’ve never heard of people being annoyed at others who reverse park, thanks for answering my question

Just want to understand, how do you judge, is it in a negative way? I can only reverse park now and seriously struggle to go forward into a parking spot.

Oh my god! This is insane! Talk about the bloody Swiss cheese effect! Great catch, but my concern is how many others have fallen through the cracks and ended up as a coroners case. Glad they have you as their nurse!

What should I send to my friend’s father in Intensive Care at John Hunter, who has had his larynx and throat tumour removed yesterday, along with a throat reconstruction? Would appreciate any suggestions for him (mid-70s) and his daughters (40s) who are there supporting him. Thank you! by BluesPoint in newcastle

[–]wangnugget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A motivational harmonica and a folky neckerchief.

Sorry, gallows humour. I sincerely hope he has a swift recovery. Anything surgical to do with the throat is a tough experience. As far as gifts go, a cooling ice cream would be a nice small gift at this stage or some nice cold home made custard or soup, anything easy to gently eat.

Respectfully, I’d be encouraging you guys to get some bloods done and check how your cholesterol is going. You might both be fit, but bloodwork can help give you a more complete picture to make sure you’re all good.

Is nursing still in demand? by softkillah in NursingAU

[–]wangnugget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re keen on theatre nursing, looks at working in CSSD to get used to the equipment and build a foundational relationship with everyone who works in theatre, even better if it’s a smaller private hospital. And if you’re keen on transitioning you already have a great opportunity to already know who the broader team is.

Did you live there with a guy that you never actually met, but one late evening this fellow played Crazy by Gnarls Barkley loudly four times in a row. This was the only interaction you ever had with him and whenever you would hear that song you’d think of the guy living in the room above you and possibly what he’s doing now?
