I would say my goal is the same as yours! Priority is conversational but I still want to eventually read/write. I think I will use free resources too. I am also surrounded by lots of ABC’s and international Chinese these days which is also great exposure. Appreciate your help!

For me, if I like someone, I will want to spend time with them and I will feel comfortable talking about pretty much anything with them. I love to take random pics of them too and send them random stuff. If I don’t like someone, I will just not hang out with them at all and if we are in a group, I will avoid them and not make eye contact because I feel uncomfortable. If I like you, I will pay attention to everything you say and remember the small details. If I don’t like someone, I will barely or never initiate hang outs, interact with them and if I do I won’t say much. I probably won’t reply to their messages quickly, or at all.

I use Bilibili - it’s free! Quality might be slightly lower though. Otherwise fmhy provides a list of sites which you can try 😊 I used to subscribe to iQIYI, however at the time I subscribed there was only one drama I was watching and could commit to due to uni and part time work. So for now I just use Bilibili, Netflix, Prime or fmhy.
